DA Dawson's Plight regarding her father

I know I should care that DA Dawson lost her father at the tender age of 2 or 3 on paper but I just don't. I don't know what it is but I do not like her. And I hate to say it but I was kind of desensitized when the DA said that Jason made orphans and widows with those that he killed. Aren't most of those people mobsters to begin with? Or associated with the mob? It's not like they were working a 9 to 5 job minding their own business when they were killed (unless I am wrong and they were innocent bystanders). They are mobsters, maybe if they didn't want to make their wives widows and kids orphans maybe they wouldn't you know... get into the mob.

I am not defending Jason or Sonny, but I find it hypocritical that DA Dawson is willing to keep a man's memories from him. I just don't feel sorry for her.

I have said it before and I will say it again, DA Dawson is slime to me until she gives Drew the flash drive with no strings attached. If she plans to use Drew and Jason's memories to get to Sonny, then she might as well be at the bottom of the river to me.

I know. I just thought of something. The DA is so concerned with the man that killed her father when technically she could bring someone's father back to life by giving him his memories. She's technically keeping a man dead for her own personal gain.

That's because Dawson doesn't care. People are s quick to say she has every right to beselfish and are also quick to say that SaSon would do the same but SaSon aren't theones going around town saing how they uphold the law. She is keeping Drew's memories for personal gain and she doesn't care who she hurts in the process, just as longas she takes down big bad Sonny Corinthos.

Yes we have seen it numerous times...another DA comes to PC to take down Sonny...the only thing that is different this time is this DA is dumber then all the others put together...so it's really going to be funny when she messes up this case up so bad that any evidence she gets will be tainted because she is trying to "prosecute" the guy she believes killed her "father"...which will be thrown out of court...and because of Double Jeopardy...Sonny can never be charged again for this crime even if he admits he did it...everyone from Jordan to the Lawyer today tried to tell her she can't proceed...but it's falling on deaf ears...because she refuses to listen

PrimadonnaGirl...I think you are correct...that Flash Drive has Drew memories NOT Jason's...as of now Drew only has Jason's memories...which would not include this crime...since it happened decades before Jason started working for Sonny...so Drew would know nothing about it...so if Margaux is holding the Flash Drive...it's because she does NOT want Drew to remember something from his own past...which most likely is HER...which makes what she is doing even more deceitful.

I wouldn't put it past Dawson to dangle the flashdrive in Drew's face. She won't give him his memories back unless he reveals Jason's memories.

I think Drew is content not getting his own memories back...and has seemed to accept it's never going to happen...so it's doubtful she can hold that over him... since she stole it and it's really Drew's property anyway...all he has to do is tell Curtis...who will inform Jordan...and Jordan will tell The DA she has to give it back to Drew...she has no legal right to hold onto that...or use it as leverage...so she won't have a leg to stand on.

Yeah, before the body was ever found Dawson was gunning for Sonny the moment she showed up in town. This story is just a mess andi am already over it. Plus, she acts like her father was forced into being Scully's lawyer.

I am looking forward to this story with the DA to be over soon. For me, it is just as bad as the dragged out Nelle story. I'm not invested in either of these women. The DA, imo, is just as manipulative as Nelle. I wanted to slap her today. Shut up already. As for her father, he played with the mob and lost. To bad someone doesn't tell her the truth--- the man that shot your father is dead.You finally found him so show your love for your father and give the man's bones a proper burial.

I'm with you. I just hate we are going through yet another "take down Sonny" plot that will end up like the hundreds of other have. And watching Jason sit there staring, blinking and not saying a word got old years ago. Another whole episode with Jason in probably every segment and only having dialogue in the first and last. Some have said it is a waste of talent, I agree it is a wast of air time that could be given to someone else.

I would have liked to see Jason go off on the DA, let her have it. Give her the Stonecold Treatment, but then he would have gotten into trouble and that broad ain't worth it. Not Saying a word, keeping his cool makes Jason very smart.

The DA knows that her father was killed and buried in the basement, but how does she know that Sonny killed him? Based on dual storytelling, even we don't know that. Granted Mike and Charlie were friends and granted Mike caused the explosion, but how can she legally pin this on Sonny?

Mind you, Sonny should pay for all his crimes. I just don't see the DA's plans being the one to take him down.

Exactly. This was never part of her info about her father. First there was no mention of mob when she came to PC, then he was a mob lawyer and now he wanted out. Sorry, GH, but this new addition doesn't change anything for me but makes me dislike the character even more, if that is possible.

Because he was her father. Just because she didn't meet him doesn't mean she doesn't miss what she didn't have in her life. Of course she should be upset at losing out on time with him. No matter what his occupation was he was her Dad.

As someone who lost their father at a young age I can tell that doesn't matter one bit. He was her father and regardless of her being 2 or 20 makes no difference. I understand her motives I just don't like her methods.
