CLOUDFARE Security Message

Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.

This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.

Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.

The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

    Is GH going to be pre empted today for Kavanaugh hearing?

    I'm watching on the West Coast and it looks like ABC is going to cover it all day. Does anyone know if today's show will air tomorrow?

    Don't know. As one who watched during the Clarence Thomas hearing it lasted and was aired both daytime and prime time for what seemed like a week or more. Everything was pre-empted. I sure hope it is not the case this time and I'm pretty sure it won't be.

      Watergate lasted weeks and weeks as did OJ. No soap fan wants to see this 24 hrs!!
      There had better be a bathroom break at 2pm!!

        Yeah, I'm expecting preemption (so much for GH showing reruns for two days just a while ago because they hadn't had enough "preemption days", lol). Yesterday, ABC was so focused on their "special report" for Trump's presser, and I laughed like crazy when my local station broke in to the "special report"...for their regular local news broadcast.

        Yup, they will show these hearings as long as they last. But if things don't change, the vote will be held tomorrow, I believe.

            yesterdays show in my area was totally pre-empted by trump...did this happen all over??

            I am on the west coast and record to watch later...the whole recording yesterday was trump...but ca is a big state...some areas it comes on at 1pm some areas 2pm....I found someplace to watch anyway!

              Just turned on the TV, GH comes on at 2pm here and it is the hearing so it looks like I am not going to see it today. I am on the east coast.

                The hearing are far more interesting than GH, not to mention important. It's only for a day or two.

                  I am in Canada and I have the ABC Channel tapping and a Toronto channel tapping at the same time today...hoping it works since I am on the west coast.

                    It's not about "importance", imo, it's about viewer preference.

                    People who want to watch every minute of the hearing aren't trying to tune into GH, they're watching a News Channel.

                    Even though the hearing is important, not everyone wants to, or is able to adjust their responsibilities to be able to, watch a hearing all day; the summary on the nightly news is plenty.

                      People can also find the news video readily available on the internet. Please don't tell me everyone doesn't have internet. Even poor people have smart phones

                      ABC realizes viewers will watch these hearings. This isn't about providing people with a service, it's all about ratings.

                    With 24/7 cable news, this should be relegated to those networks. Dont need this on all day on major networks. Some people like to get away from this stuff. But on the bright side, remember the week GH was all repeats and the reason was not enough pre-empted shows, maybe we wont get a week of repeats now. :-)

                      Again, not everyone has cable.

                      It would be interesting to see how the viewership demos shake out for a pre-emption day. Do the people who normally get soap ratings have access to that too?
