My speculation - after listening to Oscar's story, Jason doesn't want to waste time anymore. He wants to find out where they are going, wants his family back.

So he can tell Sam he now knows why she wanted him to give Drew his brotherly support when the time comes. Now that he knows about Oscar’s cancer. -
It'll probably start off with him getting confirmation Oscar was the reason she asked him to reconcile with Drew.
Then it may steer into what you posted that he wants his family back.Comment

Imo, Jason will not be making a request for JaSam to get back together, but instead will, at most, want to make arrangements to spend more time with Danny.

Jason and Sam should have had an on-screen discussion months ago. But that can't be changed at this point. They can only go forward from now. Either as partners or letting each other go. I think Jason was touched today by Oscar and he will not want to waste any more time. He will understand Sam's message from the other day about spending more time with Danny. Hopefully, we will get to see some of this change. -
Excellent point (that nothing can be done now, to change the fact that Jason and Sam have not had a meaningful talk about their relationship before now).
I hope you're right that tomorrow's scenes turn out to be that conversation (but I admit I don't have any faith in TPTB to deliver those scenes now).

Here's hoping it's something like what the OP said, some movement romance wise is never a bad thing. Though I'm not convinced that is what it will be about. They will likely spend the time talking about other people, seems to be the way they do things.Shelly, Moderator

Im tired of Sam jerking Jason around... she has had a year almost to become whoever she wants to be... either she wants to be Drew's Receptionist....at aurora
Or she wants to be bad ma ma Jammer... and get back on the wild side fighting Crime with Jason while Monica or the nanny baby sit the kids....... because the way she is right now she is boring she is like watching Paint dry on a wall... so tired of hum drum boring ways... Jason has his family back, Sonny and Carly. They are the ones that matter to him above all others.
I think Jason wants to see Sam to let her know what Oscar told him. I wish it was to acknowledge all the suffering Sam and Danny have been through and how scared Sam must have been when Danny was sick, but I don't see Jason being that understanding or supportive. He will probably ask to spend more time with Danny.Comment

Why would they (the writers) need to muddy up Oscar's storyline with Sam and Jason's relationship? This thought does not make sense, unless you are all about the Fab Four being front and center to each storyline.

How has Sam lied to Jason? She didn’t make any promises to him nor did she ask him to make any promises to her. It’s not as if Jason has put his life on hold waiting for Sam to do something that she never said to begin with. This idea that Jason need Sam to tell him to MoveOn is so moronic and makes him look even more so. How old is he, 12 years old that he need someone to tell him what to do. Some of you acting as though Sam has been holding Jason hostage. Aside from having a warm body in his bed to sleep with, Jason‘s life has not changed one iota. So this idea that he is missing out on something as though he has been robbed is pathetic.Comment

For years we have been told that Jason, the all-wise, all-knowing guy who can impart wisdom and critical thinking to and about others', is clueless when it comes to his own life. And that all-knowing guy should have already figured out or at least questioned himself whether Sam wants to be with him or not. But then he has no time for self-reflection because he is too busy and involved in the lives of others.

Jason has more insight into how Oscar is feeling right now than either Kim or Drew. He can't go to Drew, who would blow up and focus more on "OMG JASON!" than on what he had to say. Jason is seeing Sam to 1) confirm Oscar's situation is what she was referring to, and 2) to let her know - so she can let Drew know - how Oscar is feeling, and how Oscar opened up to him. I don't see this necessarily as a bid to get Sam back - I see his sighs and longing at the pier as him realizing yet again what he has given up by choosing to be - and continuing to be - in Sonny's world.
More than Sonny or Carly, or anyone else, Jason understands the danger of kids being raised near The Danger that is Sonny. He realizes the kind of family moment Drew, Kim and Oscar had is unavailable to him as long as he works for Sonny.Comment
