  • Has Kim given up too easily

I mean I know she conferred with the best doctors years ago, but it seems like that was it.

I would be checking back, talking to alternative specialists, looking for trials full time, when I was not working.

I would probably even try religion, I don't think I would be spending so much time with Charlie, especially if my dying child didn't like him.

And now that I was at GH, Monica would have definitely been in my circle of trust.

    I completely agree with this!

I would definitely take all these other courses of action.

There is no way I'd just accept a bad report and go around declaring it as truth.

I feel like they went about this the wrong way. Kim has always been over the top protective but she has not acted like the mother of a dying child. She's always been pretty cheerful and weren't she and Julian going to spend two weeks in Italy or something? It would've made a lot more sense if the tumor had been in remission for years and then came back unexpectedly.

I'm glad they at least have that meeting set up with Terri.

For a kid that is dying they are certainly taking their time getting him to a specialist, He is out of the hospital and back at school.

        Excellent point!

Oscar should have been kept at GH, at least until Terri came to see him and gave her opinion.

Kim's part in this story makes no sense. No way a mother - and a doctor - would be so blase about the fact that her son is dying and there is nothing that can be done.

Whatever tests were done years ago apparently have not been updated since Oscar thinks he has low blood sugar, He is old enough and smart enough to know what an oncologist is and would likely understand that MRIs and cat scans of his head are not needed for this type of illness.

It seems like they pulled this story out of nowhere with no lead up and no signs of illness or over concern on Kim's part,

It kind of reminds me of when Joss suddenly was dying and needed Jake's kidney. That illness came out of nowhere too.

Perhaps Robin will know of a groundbreaking study!

At the least, Robin should suggest consulting with Patrick. He is the world famous neurologist who has done all the surgeries on Jason and Drew.

Of course, he didn't notice that it wasn;t Jake he was operating on, but I digress.

Agreed. I mentioned the Patrick and Robin idea before she even returned. When Jason had his surgery, by Patrick, didn't Robin have a medical treatment that might have been effective? Jason picked the surgery.

I'm still betting we are in for another St. Jude's hospital story

Kim told Liz today that she was checking with Teri on any new advances, as a doctor I think she if definitely staying in communication with anyone who has the latest information on Oscar's condition.

However, I completely expect Robin to save him. I know she's in town to meet Peter and decide where she wants to take that relationship but she.is.in.town. And Oscar needs a miracle. Robin performs miracles ... whatever. She will be the one. Oscar is going no where. IMHO of course....

I'm with you. I've been on various threads predicting Robin would be instrumental in his cure since I heard he had a tumor.

Do we know how long KMc will be around? I know its a soap and realism doesn't really apply, but to go from "there is nothing we can do" to a cure in just a few days is in poor taste IMO. I think it will be Terry that comes up with an experimental surgery and Franco will be tasked with convincing Kim to have it done.

Why would Franco be the one to convince Kim?

You are right OP, been wondering why we've seen no
specialist, tests or results of current tests on screen.
Kim seems to of taken Oscar's previous diagnosis as final ....
with Oscar blacking out something changed, a
new round of testing is needed to see what's current.
