I am rewatching DS from the beginning on Amazon Prime! Still find this show fun, especiLly when I watch it late at night. I’m up to the first time travel story when we’d see the origin of Vampire Barnabas. Fun stuff!

CLOUDFARE Security Message
Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.
This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.
Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.
The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

I've been watching DS on Amazon too! It is so camp it is cool. I watched when I was 13 or 14, back in 1968. There is a blog where a guy has been watching every day and blogging about it. His take on the show is hilarious and enjoyable. I like to watch an episode and then read his reaction to that episode.

I am so upset that Episode 01 to 209 are getting so much hate and Barnabas and the timey wimey stuff gets all the hype..
I really loved the way David matured over the first 200 episodes and come on the murder mystery of Bill Malloy was intense and brilliant written. The revalation and continuing with the psychopathic housekeeper Matthew was amazing..
And what about the introduction of Davids mother aka phoenix?
I will always love the pre-Barnabas era cause it set everything in motion even with it's flaws

I am still in the third season . The first few seasons are not as exciting, though the series is always on an upward spiral, continually getting better. As a little kid, I started watching when Angelique was already on, so I was riveted. Apparently, I have to wait another season for Angelique and God knows how long for Quentin. I love the 18th and 19th century stuff best. I do love Maggie Evans. My heart goes out to her. I can't stand Barnabas.

I have the dvd box set with the autographed Jonathan Frid postcard in it. Before that, I had the original clam-shell case releases of the whole show. Great memories of watching when it was originally on and remembering the frenzy the whole country was in over it. I have a very specific memory of a specific day in my life, watching DS at my grandmothers' house on her black and white television and seeing the cliffhanger where Barnabas is about to open a door and unknowingly shoot a tied up Julia. I never knew for sure if it was a real memory till I saw it on the DVDs, and that was a nice revelation.
