The Writing For EJ Is OOC.....

As long as I am and was watching this character of EJ...the real EJ would have wanted Sami with all of his heart. The current EJ is written ooc...(out of character). I dont understand why he isnt looking for Sami and is comforting Belle.

Belle on the other hand, dont get her. She looks like she is defeated from Jan, but really is not. Shawn dont want Jan and Jan is just a pest to be ridden of....Don't understand Belle drinking either. She tries too hard but the real Belle would not drink.

Anyway, I hope EJAMI is written well in the future cuz otherwise, I don't know where else I will be looking at.

Nothing about EJ is written out of character. EJ and Sami have run their course and realized that the love they shared could not be sustained after all this time apart. EJ was shot and left for dead. He was recuperating for years. Once he and Sami reunited, he was severely burned. That took a toll on his life. During that time with Samantha, he treated her horribly and she turned to another man, Lucas. That hurt EJ terribly. He was betrayed and subsequently, kicked Sami out of his house and life.

Sami thought that EJ was capable of kidnapping her. She wanted nothing to do with him anymore. She left town with the man she cheated on EJ with to get away from Salem and her life with EJ. She did not even come back to the trial. She hasn’t even contacted EJ since he was found innocent. EJ has nothing to hold onto where he and Sami are concerned. Plus, they are divorced.

As for Belle, she is a grown woman. She can drink if she wants. Plus, Shawn has moved Jan into their home. I do not know any woman, regardless the circumstances, wants her husband to move a woman carrying his child into the home she shares with her husband. Jan is a psycho and Shawn is acting like she is his wife and Belle is an interloper in their home.

This is getting long so I will just say, EJ has already been with another woman and Belle has already been with other men. Nothing is out of character with either one. This time, EJ is hooking up with a sister of Sami. He never before but there is a first time for everything.

It seems like they are writing EJ differently, now that we have a new actor and AS isn’t going to return. They are writing EJ softer, able to actually apologize to people, caring about someone else (meaning Belle). The old EJ played by JS wasn’t like that. He was hard, ruthless, enjoyed hurting people.

IMO it’s a good thing. The old EJ could not have been paired with too many people. Only Sami and Nicole tolerated that BS and gave it back LOL. To me, he’s actually become a character I care about, I listen to him, I wonder if he could be paired with Ava or even Belle or someone new.

Some character always has to be OOC, that's the soap rule.?. EJ seems like a different character to me, and Belle
is drinking more because Jan can drive a person crazy, but Shawn is letting Jan be in control. He's too nice at times, and
can be manipulated too easily. But, there had to be some kind of reason (excuse) for Belle and EJ to become close.?

I don’t think Ava and EJ would make a great couple. There would be no push and pull. There would be no drama, in my opinion. Ava is never really in Salem long so I don’t see her sticking around this time either.

I am sure they will search around for a mate for EJ if Sami does, indeed, leave him for good.

No I think to appease certain fan groups, they will always have EJ paired with Sami. Like long distance LOL. They seem to love to keep the EJ/Sami thing going on forever, even with AS’s absence. And he will cheat on her, and the few times she’s in town, she will cheat on him.

It’s sad. He’s becoming an interesting, gray character, played by a terrific actor. If AS doesn’t want to return full time, they should cut it off and allow him the freedom to find someone else. Just like Ben and Ciara. Free Ben to find someone else if VK doesn’t want to return.

I like this EJ and really hope he is done with Sami, not sure why anyone would want him. As for Belle and Shawn, they’re both being written like idiots.

If EJ is constantly pining for Sami, then that limits the potential for storylines because AS is rarely on the show.

Lucas is the one who is OOC. EJ really isn't. Except in one way: He's not obsessing over his victim like he used to. And that's a positive change for the character. Now that the chemistry is gone, EJ and Sami need to be distanced. No more rapemance. No more "unconditional soulmate love" that always seems to have conditions that are both toxic and abusive.

I don't like EJ cozying up to "I'm ready to cheat on my husband again and now I have an excuse" Belle, but I am really liking him without Sami. He's a better character when they aren't together.

I agree with Lucas too. Very ooc there. With EJ, he too is written ooc. The real EJ would be finding Sami. I guess like one member said, EJ is written differently. And another member, I agree with, limits on how much Alison is acting on Days. If Days still continues to stray EJ away from Sami....well there is not much to say. Plus, the more EJ and Belle is shown together, the more people are going to like them.

As for EJAMI, they were written being alike. That theme, overtook the rape dent that they had. Now, I guess we will have to wait and see. Plus, the people who are for LUMI..... they are not going to like what's going on too. I thought the Green Wedding, should have ended with LUMI being together back in 2007 permanently. Just a food of thought here.

EJ is being written like a man who was left for dead and just be happy to be alive. He lost years with his kids. He needs to let Sami be and just focus on what’s best for him.

I guess that means let her be with the guy who kidnapped her and instead of being honest with her he travel the world with her having sex which could be classified as rape if someone other than St. Lucas did it.
