I’m damn tired of Shawn telling Jan stuff like he would take care of her and fulfill his obligation to her. He doesn’t HAVE one. Shawn bringing her food, etc is pissing me off. I won’t blame Belle for turning to EJ. I was glad EJ was there to stand up for Belle today.

It’s soo annoying, how men in this show sympathize with their females rapists, Brady fall in love with Kristen, Steve hugs Ava and shares a son with her, and now we have Shawn being nice to Jan who on top of raping him tried to kill his wife and daughter, disgusting?Comment

Mean opinion here...but I don't think a man who was tricked into sex would want anything to do with the baby of the woman who tricked him.
To me the story doesn't work because I don't know of a single man who would A) Take responsibility in this situation and B) would put this baby and it's mother over his wife.Comment

That’s actually the only part I believe in this whole mess, Shawn took responsibility for Jan’s baby after she was raped. I think it’s in character for Shawn to want this child, to put aside how they were conceived. The way it’s written is a total mess, but Shawn has always had a soft spot when kids are involved

I am hating this storyline too. Shawn was victimized and now his victimizer is playing him like a fiddle and wreaking havoc in his marriage. Watching Jan grin like a loon over Shawn’s distress is not my idea of entertainment. I ff as soon as Jan starts to speak.Comment

This is one of the worst examples of a plot driven mess I have seen in a long time. Shawn is being written as an idiot, and Belle is being written like a selfish cow, just waiting for an excuse to jump EJ’s bones. EJ is coming off as creepy, taking advantage of the whole thing. And Jan is being reward for assaulting shawn. I’m not even a fan of Shelle, and I find this whole story annoying. Seriously after 20+ years and how many writers, why is it the only time shelle gets a story it involves Jan or belle cheating?Comment

Shawn is for sure acting like an idiot, but Belle stepped way over the line. She's a married woman with a history of infidelity, and she was kissing EJ at the end of the episode. Shawn has no romantic interest in Jan, he's doing this for his unborn child. Belle moving in with EJ, and then making out with him..... Not to mention Belle is constantly whining about how Jan is destroying her marriage. Yet she's the one who walked out and has refused to stand by her man - Jan's rape victim - this entire time. She whines about having to clean out her office, yet Shawn put his foot down and told Jan it wouldn't happen. She can't fight for her marriage when she's busy running away from it. Jan was right when she said Belle was doing more to destroy her marriage than Jan herself ever could. And now she's off to have another affair? Yeah, Shawn may be an idiot but at least he's doing it because Jan is carrying his baby. He doesn't want Jan romantically, sexually, or in any other way. Belle is just a selfish witch looking for an excuse to cheat on Shawn again. And EJ is more than happy to be the guy, inserting himself into their marriage like that. So because Jan is carrying his baby, he has a right to treat his wife like she is the interloper in their marriage? Shawn is the only one hurting his marriage. Belle is just not going to be the fool to put up with it. She should divorce Shawn so that he can be the best father he can be without any interruptions. -
Okay, I read that three times and I'm still confused. At one point did Shawn treat Belle like an interloper in his marriage? The only marriage he has apparently ended when he was raped because Belle has long since checked out. Nothing Shawn could do would make Belle happy. Well, I guess disowning the child would, but he's not going to do that. Belle has given Jan EVERYTHING she has wanted and Jan has barely lifted a finger. You can't treat someone like an interloper when they're not around. Belle gave up the moment it got tough. She ran out on Shawn before Jan even found a way to get out of prison.

Shawn is the village idiot at the moment. Belle should have slapped some sense into him when she saw him and Jan hugging. But she did the next best thing. She gave that psycho her office and left that house.
Belle needs to let Shawn have a divorce. She sees what her life is going to be like once that baby is born. Shawn is going to be forced to let Jan stay with them. I just do not understand how Shawn thinks letting Jan live with him and his wife is a good thing.
Does Claire or Hope know what is going on with Shawn? He is In serious need of an intervention.Comment

Belle is doing exactly what she should do. Let Jan and Shawn play house. Nick Fallon fan She should have her bags packed once that baby is born because Shawn will be catering to the baby and the baby’s mother so strongly that he will be asking “Belle who?”
Belle didn’t marry Shawn to watch him have a rape baby with his stalker, the same woman who has been trying to destroy their lives her every waking moment.
I don’t know from where this “I have to be this perfect companion to my baby mama junk comes!” but the men of Salem need to let it go, or they will lose their wives trying to pacify the witches carrying their babies.
Men of Salem, Shawn ? your baby can survive in the womb without you all over the mother. -
I agree about the men and their rapists baby mamas; Steve and Ava, Brady and Kristen, now Shawn and Jan, it’s ludicrous how nice they are to them -
Hopefully Jan will go back to prison once the baby is born and then maybe Shawn and Belle can work on their marriage
