Most likely production came up short in that episode's run time and they needed to fill. It went on way too long. I miss the days of "Days" using popular music for these montage scenes. I know they can't afford to anymore, but their "homemade" sounding songs are cringe-worthy. -

In my opinion is just as easy to move her on as it is to keep her trap with Jake.
I am ready to see her free from this look alike.

I hear and respect everyone's opinions, but I still think they would never invest in a temporary couple by putting them in Beyond Salem 2.
To date I can't think of a single temporary couple that was featured in the Beyond Salem program.
jake has repeatedly at crucial moments decided to let his pride dictate his choices.
After returning from being on the run she clearly explained, acknowledged, and explain that she wanted him to meet her child.
Come on and his response was to be hugged up with her child's great-grandmother.
As soon as she understood what happened with Johnny, she clearly explained, acknowledged and took responsibility.
He decided that she didn't really love him because she still war the last gift she received from her deceased husband.
The look alike is telling her that she shouldn't have believe what she saw and heard with her own eyes and ears, but he used something very similar to move away from his great love Kate.
Jake deserves every horror that happens to him. He decided to hook up with the mafia princess and he decided to try to hold it over her head. It's time for this character to move on. Well that's an incredibly depressing thought. They've tried to dress Jake up like Stefan but it hasn't worked and the chemistry between CB and BB just isn't there like it was with Stefan. Jake needs to get away from Gabi, stop pretending to be some kind of businessman, and go back to being a mechanic. At least when he was doing that he didn't feel like a poser all the time. And Gabi needs to get away from him because her "love" for him (what a joke) is all because of his face. She loves Stefan and she's applying that to Jake, aka Stefan-lite. Of course, my ex wasn't trying to turn me into a dead husband like Gabi is with Jake...he was more of the "have this career, dress like this, think like this, etc."...but it's the same concept. Gabi has never wanted Jake. It's always been about Stefan. Maybe one day she'll be able to admit that to herself.Comment

Gabi and Li just fell flat to me. They look hot together as far as looks go but they just didn't sizzle in the chemistry department.

Long, awkward, and most non romantic clip in a long time. As others have said, depressing. No one clicked and the pairings all seemed rushed! Poor Rafe never seems to click and often seems to be second choice!Comment
