CLOUDFARE Security Message

Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.

This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.

Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.

The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

    Actually, I like all those characters listed above on some level. Doug and Abe are my favorites though,

      I am wondering if this would be best determined if you had only one choice. I love Abby. She is my favorite but I voted none of the above to see if it made a difference.

        It made a difference. Abby's score would be 25% (2 of 8) rather than 22% (2 of 9). Everyone else's scores would also be higher.

        If you only have 1 choice, it turns into a different kind of poll.
        Suppose 10 people like Althea, and 9 of them also like Brittany, and none of them like Chester. Another person likes Chester and nobody else.

        In a poll like this, it comes out Althea 10, Brittany 9, and Chester 1.

        If you only get 1 vote, it comes out Althea 10 and Chester 1.

        To me, the 9 people who like Brittany mean more than the 1 person who loves Chester.

      I went with Johnny, Victor and Doug. Nobody else on this list interests me much. I would have ticked Abby's name too but I only like her some of the time; and lately, not much at all.

          More fun with math:
          If you had voted for Abby rather than None of the Above,
          Abby would go from 33% to 38%, and
          None of the Above would go from 13% to 8%.
          Nobody else's numbers would change.
