100 percent agree and I really wish that they would take it all seriously when they do it. They don't even bother to do versimilitude checks. It was explicitly stated that angels can't interfere and not only does the angel interfere... it's how they wrap up the story. So bad.

I can accept Ghosts or Angels like Bo Brady
But the other stuff, especially masks, they need to all go! I want the writers to focus on other stuff.

tiff5555 i agree angels like Bo I’m good with, I will never get tried of good ghostly visits, and not just from Bo. But yeah they really need to step away from the passion type storylines. I only want to see it again on Beyond Salem, if it means Bo is alive lol. I would love a real life issue. A character driven story. I have mentioned a postpartum story, with Ciara as an idea. Sadly I know they won’t, ever write a story like that,it’s just not Days anymore.It use to be,I recently saw clips of when Marlena lost a child to SIDS, I thought it was so well done. I watch British soaps, on one of them a main and beloved character suffered a debilitating stroke, and they arent glossing over it. Why are American soaps, specifically days so afraid to go there?

I don't know regarding "going there". They should. I thought we were going to have that with Doug with his memory loss, but it never went there but a start to a devil. Even Bo dying in the grass was strange. Should have been in bed or hospital. Even Abby standing on trial for what she has done to Andre and Gabi, was glossed over. Days should really go there.

tiff5555 I have alot of issues with the writing,and not just with the current writers. One of my biggest issues is the lack of follow through, so often they tease viewers with a possible real life issue, and drop the ball. I would have love to have seen DH and SSH get to play that story of Doug’s memory loss. Years ago the show did a story about dementia involving Caroline. But they back tracked, suddenly she didn’t have dementia. I hated that Bo died in the park. Imo DH didn’t like the character that’s why, that return and death was a mess. I really wish they would have the courage to write a in depth character driven, emotional story that affects not only that character, but everyone close to them.

We'll likely be done with the devil for good, and we'll be done with ghosts for now, but not permanently cause every soaps brings deceased characters back with ghostly appearances. I think the masks are here to stay since Ron Calivarti really seems to like them. But, this isn't the first time that masks have been used on Days. Andrè's first story on the show involved him using a mask to look like Roman.

I don't want to say this regarding Ron. But he ought to let go of his masks ideas stories and write something fresh. Doing masks ideas again and again is getting tiresome in my opinion.

tiff5555 ?, it was done in a few scenes in Jan/Feb. That's it. It wasn't even a storyline, just a few scenes. Kriscole years ago, and Kristen/Susan last year. But since it's been months since the last mask scene and no spoilers about another one anytime soon... You may get your wish.

I hated the original devil story line. But I sort of enjoyed this more campy one. However, I also think this has gone on way longer than enough. I will admit that Allie's entry in the musical chairs with the devil was pretty good. But more than over it.

I loved seeing Bo and loved him being the hero. But that was also enough. He saved his grandson and daughter and then saved his best friend's son. He did plenty.

meh this year it's devils, zombies and ghosts...next year it will be clones, robots or time travel. Or we'll find out something dumb like Bill Horton was Stefano's love child with Alice Horton and Lucas ends up inheriting Dimera.

I hate all of that stuff too, but I believe Ron loves the camp. I really miss the show, but I haven't watched an episode in so long because of his campy writing.
