Why does Sara think Zander is Alex Marshall?

I was thinking the same thing after Xander told her his name! She still is looking for Don Craig to represent her in her divorce to Alex Marshall and to dissolve Tony's marriage to Anna!

I think on some level Sarah knows that Xander is someone important to her. In her delusional mind, she is associating Xander with Renee’s husband, Alex Marshall, because he was written about in the book. Sarah is delusional and the things she do will not be logical.
