Please make it stop!!!! I can't bear the dialogue between good/evil Johnny. His constant head movements are ridiculous and distracting. He is too young/immature for this role. Actually, the entire storyline needs to go.

CLOUDFARE Security Message
Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.
This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.
Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.
The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

This storyline is becoming too much. They should've just stopped after the exorcism of Marlena. I prefer the villians without superpowers to control and manipulate the situation. So, we now have to look forward to Johnny's exorcism. Then again, who's next after him. If they plan on this going on longer, I'll take somebody else being possessed such as Gwen or EJ.

I was just going to make a topic asking if the Days of Our Devils story was over. I tuned in today and didn’t see anything…hopefully it’ll end and never come back. The show was getting so good a few months ago and then the MarDevil story came along.

The MarDevil's story is over! It's now the JoDevil's story! That has duped Susan into believing Belle is the devil!

ALoyalSoapFan The character of Susan Banks….omg. Can you imagine if her sister the nun had that problem. But I just want all the devil stories gone. Glad Marlena’s back to normal.

It needs to be over soon. It had already well overstayed its welcome by the time Marlena was exorcised and we found out this version is immune to exorcisms. Just like he's immune to crucifixes and holy water...as long as he's not tied up with thin ropes on Jarlena's bed which somehow make him vulnerable. This nonsense does not work long term! A few months at best and it needs to end. It's been going on way too long now and every time I see Johnny I just get tired. And he's just driving way too much of the show. The Jake/Gabi breakup is great, but he drove it. Taking over at DiMera. EJ in jail. That stupid movie he didn't have a producer for until he was possessed and then TR suddenly showed up. Allie and Chanel. Susan. Ben and Ciara. Marlena's career. Lucas kidnapping Sami - All of this worked out WAY too perfectly for the devil to have only "planted the seed."
Enough is enough already! Get the devil out of Salem and let's try having some decent character driven stories while there's still a show!

It's hard to feel for these couples when the writing is preposterous. I did enjoy Marlena being possessed via Doug and when all the kids came together to exorcise the devil. Now, it's just cartoonish. I want real sadness and drama... I suppose that's coming in May. But I recall Steve being Stevano. I wanted to feel the heart strings pull for Steve and Kayla. All i could think of was these poor talented actors having to act this ridiculous stuff out.

Since this isn't a spoiler thread, and if it's a spoiler, I will understand if you're unable to answer...what's happening in May that will be sadness and drama? From what I'm reading the actors does not share your views of being "poor talented actors having to act this ridiculous stuff out!"

I really think there was a network note to incorporate the history of the show... but not like this. The original devil story was NOT a cartoon.
I'm still waiting for someone to say wait a minute people arose from the dead and tried to kill us.
It also just doesn't make sense that the devil with all these powers is going through the trouble of all these schemes that he wouldn't need since he can just snap his fingers and get what he wants.
Makes matters worse that they have no internal mythology. They haven't bothered to establish a universe with rules for this plot.

The original was bad enough (though I do give it the TINIEST bit of credit that they played it as straight horror). But, this is EXACTLY why you cannot graft fantastical elements into a real world situation at some point along the line. That's one of the core rules when it comes to world building. Unless something like that is there from the start it will never make a bit of sense. It worked for Dark Shadows because it was there from the beginning (even though the elements were minimal they were still there). But when you add stuff like this later on you just end up with a jumbled patchwork mess.

Mariko - you nailed it. That is why Passions worked the first few years it was on. It was sci-fi camp from the beginning: i.e. Timmy, the doll who came to life and Tabitha the witch. Days was a regular dramatic show from the beginning and did not get far-fetched until it started to imitate General Hospital with the secret agents and spies which then led to this kind of thing - life like masks and devil possessions.

eileenregina As much as I loathed Passions (I can't stand JER in ANY form) in that respect it did work, because the fantastical was there from the beginning. It didn't get added on later. As far as DAYS, it started with the Phoenix Crystals storyline which was their answer to GH's Ice Princess storyline.

I really hate the Devil story! Can't wait for it to end I am so tired of fast forwarding through the show. They could have made this really good just by making Johnny a really bad back-stabbing person of which makes him a real DiMerra. I really love Days but this story line makes me really not care if they take it off the air, so stupid!!!

Whatever random thing they want him to do. They've made him all powerful with God not even caring what he does. Gabriel said Satan wouldn't be allowed to do what he wanted, yet he's doing exactly that and he's doing it unopposed by any with the power to stop him. Like Susan, so devout yet no matter how she tries she is always defeated and has none of that divine help she's so sure of. So why are we wasting time with all these pathetic, disconnected schemes from a devil who seems to have a serious inability to scheme long term? Why is he hiding when they've made him unstoppable, conveniently getting a new ability every time he runs into an obstacle? This version of the devil should have been ruling all of Salem inside a week.
All fiction needs rules. The original possession storyline had them and it was better for it. This possession storyline has none and it suffers as a result. And when it's bad to start with, you can't afford to suffer worse. It's like that joke about ordering something nice and getting the cheap lame imitation Wish version. At this point the devil's defeat will have to be even more absurdly contrived than his existence.

I'm so annoyed with two of the current plot lines: the Possession by the Devil line and the Crazy Shrieking Sarah/Renee line. Neither is believable, even for a soap. I'd take much more Rafe and Nicole, Chad and Abby, Zander and OldSarah, Tripp and Allie and Chanel, and Ava and whatever if we could get rid of the devil and Renee.
