Just wondering, cause I must have missed it if she did. They should've made a bigger deal and devoted a couple scenes at least to her apologies to Tripp. They did just what I thought, they kinda glossed over the apologies he was owed. Yes, Allie apologized, and Lucas, but there's many others who should, and haven't, and especially Kayla. I wanted to see her speak some sincere words to Tripp about how she wrongly misjudged and accused him.

Did Kayla ever apologize to Tripp??

No, she hasn't. The only things we have seen are when she agreed to do the DNA test with Charlie's toothbrush and said she hoped it proved Tripp innocent. Then, at the wedding, she said it was good that he was the best man. They should have some type of discussion. Nicole has been a no-show on apologizing too, even when she has been constantly coddling Ava.

Thank you for the replies.
That's a shame they didn't devote some in depth scenes of her apologizing. I was hoping at the remarriage of Stayla, she'd at least take a moment or two with him alone, but there was nothing. She treated him horribly, and I think he was hurt by her believing the worst of him, more than anyone else, cause he loves and respects her so much. Days dropped the ball on that one.

Not directly but she told Steve that she would owe him a huge apology if the toothbrush from Charlie proved he was innocent. She must have done it offscreen.

That's even worse that they acknowledged Kayla with intent to apologize, but have never shown it. Ron sure played up the persecution for Tripp, but sad that he thinks the apologies aren't just as important.

I was hoping to see if but I'm not surprised either. We should have seen it for sure. I'm sure she did but I hate that it was offscreen.

Honestly, I’m not surprised they didn’t show Kayla apologizing to Tripp. Days has a tendency to really drop the ball when it comes to writing the aftermath of any sl. If anything, we’re lucky we even got to see Allie and Lucas apologize

I don’t think Kayla apologized. She is the one who owed Tripp an apology the most, aside from Allie.

Kayla, Nicole or Kate never apologized to Tripp. I'm not sure if John or Roman did also? Ron C. should have had an apology tour bus going around for Tripp.

I was waiting and waiting to see Kayla apologize to Tripp. It's a good thing I wasn't holding my breath. That could have been a very touching scene. The writers really did drop the ball there, as others have said.
I was also very disappointed that they didn't show Roman or John apologizing. John went after Tripp very hard, even attacking him physically. They should have showed him apologizing to both Tripp and Steve.
It would have been nice if Nicole had apologized, but I imagine it never occurred to her because in her mind it was Allie and only Allie who mistakenly identified Tripp as her attacker.
I am thankful, though, that we got to see Lucas and Allie apologize, especially Allie. That was well done, IMHO.

I was very disappointed that John hasn't apologized but he's going through his own issues too.

It made no sense for the writers not to show Kayla’s apology to Tripp (if only for the touching scene it would have given us) but I think the ones that ticked me off the most were John and Kate. They were just awful to him for months. Kate spewed venom at him every time she ran into him and John’s relationship with Steve was strained to the point he didn’t even want to be friends anymore and now that it’s been established that Tripp didn’t do it, not a single peep? I’ll give John credit in that he was the one to help Steve make the discovery but other than that, c’mon writers.

Kate isn't the type to admit she's wrong.

Screw Tripp. Did he apologize profusely for the crap he's pulled? His actions played a huge part in Claire's implosion.....before she went to Bayview. And he didn't pay for framing Ben....marrying Haley.....using Claire.

Claire knew why he married Hailey so her not understanding is on her and her alone.

I've seen Tripp apologize more than once for his many past crimes. There was no grudging behavior about it. It was true, deep, genuine remorse. He's apologized to everyone he's wronged! Tripp is humble and he deserves more apologies than he's received with the terrible, physical way he was persecuted over false rape charges. Especially from Kayla he deserves them, and it's sad that the writing thought it so important and dramatic to play up the persecution from so many toward him, but don't think it's just as important to show the apologies he deserves.

^Well, I for one, wouldn't enjoy seeing Salemites kiss that dummies' @ss. He's a framer who not only enjoyed what he did, did it more than once, and then proceeded to hide behind more than one skirt since they wrote him in, in 2017. Wish they'd write him out, but I believe they're going to pair him with another simpleton, and call them an emerging supercouple.Last edited by Elle23276; March 22, 2021, 04:16 AM.

But Elle23276, the very thing you condemn Tripp for, I commend him- he originally told Claire he didn’t have feelings for her, even after she helped him, so he was honest with her then. And considering Claire was the one who set the fire in the first place, well enough said about that. Tripp and Ben have only interacted a few times since Tripp apologized for trying to frame Ben, but I do recall one of their last talks involved Ben and Tripp saying they had more in common than either of them had realized, since Tripp had framed Ben, and Tripp was now saying he was framed for Allie’s rape (this was before Charlie was revealed as the rapist). Yes it was crappy that Tripp and Ciara felt they had to gaslight Claire, but they weren’t doing it to be cruel, they were doing it to prove Ben didn’t set the fire and that it was Claire. The fact that Tripp went along with it in order to help Ben shows his apology to Ben was more than just words. He didn’t have to help, but he did.

That's not what I meant when I said she pulled his ass out of the fire. She paid someone else to take a dive for Tripp when the cops were bearing down.....getting too close. He was banging Claire after he broke it off with Ciara.....she thought that Tripp might someday be as crazy about her as he was about Ciara. All he ever did was use her, and let her down. Tripp, by the time of the 'gaslighting', was more interested in protecting Haley than anything else....I don't share the loving sentiment you have for Tripp.

Tripp never intentionally hurt Claire. Claire hurt herself more than anyone else back then.
