If Days is still on air twenty years from now will Charlie be the guy that turns up in town from time to time to make life hell for Clair. The guy she loved who broke her heart and years from now will still be doing it. She falls in love and he turns up to spoil everything. Will he be her forever stalker? You know like Ava does to Steve.

They've known each other for a handful of months. She may have believed herself to have fallen in love with him. But she barely knew him and he lied to her constantly and raped her cousin. The only thing that makes him remotely special at all is that he is her first relationship since therapy. But even with that, no. I don't think he will be that important to her over time. And if the show tried to sell me on that I wouldn't buy. -
I hope not, I wish he was like Jack / Jennifer or Tony / Anna but more like Jack and Jennifer.
Charlie also has a lot of connection to Salem now with Ava, Tripp, Henry, Xander, Claire.
They have a connection, understand each other, he is her light, for the first time, a man loves her and doesn't want another woman.Comment

I don't think so, even if he does have that kind of staying power. Granted he is already at a level of obsessed with her, willing to drug his mother and lock her up in a mental institution so he can be with her. And she has, for the first time, learned what it means to be put first by someone who says they love you. To be their first choice. That's something Claire never had in any way except maybe from her parents. Maybe. So no doubt this may mess with her head and leave her wondering if he was the only one who will ever love her that way.
Still, I don't see this being long term. Not after just a few months of a relationship. I think she's smarter and stronger than that.Comment

After all that she has been through and getting out of the mental hospital, I don't want Claire to be with the guy who raped her cousin. I also think that Charlie would turn out to be obsessive and possessive of Claire (which we have already seen signs of). They haven't been together that long so I hope that Claire moves on and finds someone else.

I was thinking down the line it might all him still into her with her finding love with someone else and him causing trouble. He is Ava's son and the worst part of her as she put it.Comment

I think....Days will put them together on its own and a fanbase will follow....maybe Claire deeps down loves him. Or that he may become possessive of her like someone said. Right now, I just don’t see any guy for Claire unless it’s Tripp. Don’t even know the future of Allie. She might go home with Sami later this year.Comment
