The long lost twin is what came to my mind when the DNA matched. Not the most original idea, but typically of RC. Another thought popped into my head RC loves to write DID storylines. He used DID on both OLTL and GH and he has already used it on Days, so I can see him doing that too. Although I could stomach the twin thing more than another DID story.

I don't think Tripp has a long, lost twin. I do think that the rapist will be Charlie. Allie was most likely drugged and she thought she saw Tripp holding her down (since he is the last face she remembers) but it was really Charlie. Furthermore, Kayla said that Tripp and the baby SHARE DNA, so that does not mean that he is the father, which makes room for a sibling to have committed the crime.

That would be one sick twin. Who ever raped Allie clearly followed her and Tripp back to her apartment. So this supposed twin would have at least scene Tripp. Also I know this is a soap but rapist usually go for easy targets, not someone who clearly was taken home by a guy who didn't leave until Allie fell asleep. The whole thing is weird. How the heck did the rapist get in the apartment.

I don't know what the writers are thinking, had Tripp also had a fuzzy memory I would have thought that they both were taken advantage of in that Tripp really is Henry's father through artificial insemination but Tripp said he remembers every second of that night with Allie.

If the DNA sample was from Tripp's father, it could have been any brother of Tripp and not necessarily a twin. It could even be a half brother of Tripp.

In Salem DNA results are different compared to the real world. Kayla made a point of saying Tripped shares DNA with Henry, and Steve would have had the same result because he's a close relative to Tripp. In the real world there are DNA markers and you would know if someone is a grandfather as opposed to the father.

This distinction makes me think Henry's father is a relative of Tripp, but not an identical twin. I think he has another half brother out there.

The fact that they are so vague about the DNA results (which is ridiculous in this day in age), is lazy writing. Yeah it leaves wiggle room for the writers, but DNA tests are thoroughly accurate. The DNA test should be able to differentiate if Tripp is the father, uncle, or half-uncle.

Mr.Sami_Brady The test would be more specific in real life, but this way the story is dragged out longer. Also we're all supposed to feel sorry for Tripp when it's revealed he's not the father. To me having a test that showed Tripp was a close relation of Henry , but not the father, would be interesting enough because that means Tripp has a relative out there he knows nothing about.

It would Shome, but no one is thinking about Ava right now. They are working with the idea that they know everyone Tripp is related to, Steve and Joey. Remember it's probably only been a day or two since they found out about the DNA.
