Apparently, you don't need to be employed at DE. You don't even have to have had worked a single day there. You don't even need to be knowledgeable.

Just serve up some great finger-licking good ribs and that's all it takes. Oh, that, and a drop of DiMera blood. ROFL.

The writers have turned the once powerful DiMera family into a complete joke with idiots living at the mansion and making decisions. Pathetic!

Oh yes... drop a few jokes as well. Anyone can do it! Just put on a suit and schmooze all those rich business men with your ribs and jokes.

Do the writers ever wonder why the ratings continue to tank?

Exactly! They destroyed the DiMera family and continue to destroy Days with this bizarre nonsense.

Right! The entire show is turning into a bad joke at this point. It's embarrassing.

Uh yeah that's how it works in real life all the time. A company offers a deal, and the other company has to make a decision. Those in the position to decide talk to other people about how to make the decision... A man talking to his wife about the deal for example.

Most people of influence arent super smart. They are good at making connections with people. How many world leaders for example were scientists? Billionaires from their own success? Inventors? Almost none.

If you want to make deals with people it helps a great deal if you make a positive connection with them, and a sense of confidence. Jake may have been able to do both.

Right. So, Jake is just like this guys wife there to advise him during some pillow talk. Yeah, okay.

This guy wants a deal with Dimera or he wouldn't be there to discuss it. Getting someone to the table is half the battle. What he wants is a sense that Jake, who is representing Dimera at this time is trustworthy, and reliable. He wants to be assured that the decision will be profitable. If you make a positive connection with someone it's much easier to get them to agree.

Was Gabi still wearing the little black dress emphasizing/exposing her chest area? Could possibly have had a positive effect in negotiations.😄

See at least when YR or B&B do corporate stories they are at least believable! DE changes CEO almost weekly it seems.

They should let Collins meet Gwen. He would be signing the paperwork in no time, especially if she breaks out that wine bottle and tells him to forget the glass. Shucks, Gwen would be made CEO, siince she has kissed a DiMera.

Gwen kissed TWO DiMeras, she is certainly now qualified to be CEO. Let's give her the position ASAP!

I'm sure if they took her to the meeting, Mr. Collins would've signed over the deed to his home as well as the soul of his firstborn. While she is gulping down the wine- it's just a breath of fresh air!- she can also regale him with stories of her sex tape. The nonstop jokes would have everyone choking on those ribs. She'd intimately connect with everyone with a flicker of her sultry eyes. Let's go, Gwendolyn, future DE CEO!

I agree. I am all for some fun and humor but this part of the show really is an insult to the DiMera legacy!! It is ridiculous that Shin has this power to make so many decisions and have everyone "jumping"......yes, it should be blood. I have said it before, I think Shin is playing everybody and may even be the one who drugged Abby to get Chad out of town. I am just hoping that it does not turn out that Jake is in on this (and just plays "naive") because I prefer he be a decent guy in the end.

And what could possibly give him the sense that Jake could accomplish that? The guy could be brilliant when it comes to business for all we know. He's the magic twin Vivian somehow forgot she carried and gave birth to. At this point they could say he's psychic or something and it wouldn't even stand out. But all these business people know is that he's a mechanic in a suit, brought there by Gabi, who wasn't even a DiMera until recently. Gabi didn't even have time to prep him with all the BS he needed to get through the meeting.

Fact is DiMera, as a business, has gone down the tubes. They've been playing CEO musical chairs for years and the only ones actually qualified to do it are dead or uninterested. I've seen children play businessman/woman better than any of these people except maybe Gabi. And that's only because she actually built something.

Mr. Shin is probably wondering how the mighty Stefano managed to leave this pathetic lot as the heirs to his empire.
