Placement of the Lucas and Will scenes.

Given what Will was going to tell Lucas they should have come much closer together or they should been saved for tomorrow's episode. Instead it was like twenty minutes between Will saying you didn't hear and telling his father. Those weird delays are part of the show but at some point it just becomes silly imagining the two just standing their not saying anything.

Good observation. However, soap time is not real time. I remember watching a wedding on AMC (Frank and Nancy?) which was held on Christmas Eve. By the time the reception ended, the reception had a Valentine's Day theme.

Obviously, Lucas has limited scenes and involvement in his daughter's baby story. I would think he would be more involved, but the writers think otherwise. Huge mistake!
