I think it's more about them being present because of Claire though popping up a few days earlier to attend both would of been considerate.

Just speculation on Gabi's news to Jake. I'm guessing the "death" is someone in the Hernandez clan, possibly her mom. I only say that because Eduardo is due back in Salem soon. As far as Shawn's news, it most likely will involve Hope's exit story. Either Shawn is ill and Hope leaves to take care of him, or Bo is still alive...just speculation.

From the spoilers I've read Belle catches Claire in a lie putting her in the hot seat and Shawn has to tell the family about it thus the devastating news.
Rafe & Gabi's Dad returning could indeed relate to the funeral spoiler however I'm not sure why the mix feelings...the similar spoiler I read said that Salem would have mix feelings not just Jake so I'm thinking Vivian is planning to fake her own death to get out of prison. Salem would have mixed feeling about her death.

Why are they making Jake stupid already, by asking the drama queen Gabi to be his date?? Sad waste of a good character(Jake) on that loser character, Gabi. The chemistry is there between Gwen and Jake, and Emily O'Brien is a great catch for Days. Days should work on them being a great couple!

Maybe Gabi's tragic news is not about Jake at all; it says she tells him tragic news. It could be someone related to her and she just cries on Jake's shoulder; then he invites her to the wedding as his date.

Could either be he clarifies who the woman was she saw going into his room or he tells her that he is finally done chasing her and it is best they go their separate ways.

The recast Vivian was awful. I would certainly never want that actress back as Vivian.

I think Sarah already knows that she still loves Xander, she was going to forgive him when Brady told her about Kristen's plan.
But they have had an emotionally huge and traumatic experience, and it's still recent, and the awareness that Xander has partly contributed to this grief increases the pain of both; I think they only need some time. And I'd like Xarah to recover their funny and ironic side of their relationship.
