move Days to 3pm on NBC. GH is rarely interrupted every day because it airs at 3pm on ABC. I say move Days and have Days go head to head with GH at 3pm on NBC and move the Ellen show to 12pm on NBC

Days is rarely interrupted. Maybe where you live, but it's not nationally interrupted unless the president is speaking. It's stupid to inconvenience others because you are not getting what you want. Seriously, how many posts are you going to make about this?

It is not interrupted much where I live either. I think it depends on the time zone.

"Ellen" is not a network show. Also, moving "Days" just changes the time zone for any interruptions.

Once again, this is an issue for the local NBC affiliate who schedules programming for your area. Many of us haven't had an interruption for weeks and have no desire to have Days rescheduled for your benefit.

the move would be basically for everyone no matter what the time zone for Days to be seen at 3pm for all time zones. and Ellen to be seen at 12pm for all time zones

How does that help everyone? I get it at 12. Why would I want it on at 3?

JackandJenfen, haven't you gotten the word.......the world revolves around Thaaos. It doesn't matter that most of the country is happy with the scheduling.....and when the rest of us have interruptions we use available methods to watch, but Thaaos is unhappy so it must be rescheduled!

I don’t want it moved. I like it at 1:00 and it’s not usually interrupted for me.

NO NO NO!!! I watch on my lunch hour. It's my escape for the day. We haven't had an interruption in a LONG time.

Days has been on at 1pm since its beginning. Local station keeps interrupting because of Corvid 19 updates. I have to watch on line.

NBC has several different feeds of "Days" to its affiliates so the local NBC stations have a little flexibility when to air it.

This will invariably evolve into a discussion about getting Days for free.

You can't just move Ellen to noon. Part of the clearance agreement that Ellen and her production company have with WNBC is when her show will air on a local affiliate. Why? Because the time slot determines advertising rates and advertising revenue. Ad revenue is important for both the local affiliate and for Ellen.

3 PM is a prime viewing time and, as such, generates top ad revenue. Ellen is not going to sign to be on WNBC if her show aired at 2 AM. Nor would WNBC want to schedule a show at 3 PM that didn't bring in high ratings. So just switching Days in NYC just so it isn't interrupted by the news every day won't work because (a) then Ellen is pre-empted and (b) it would violate the clearance agreement Ellen has with WNBC.

Also, Days has an agreement with NBC about when Days will air. In order for WNBC to air Days at 12 as opposed to one, there needs to be a separate agreement with NBC about moving out the show out of its 1 PM time slot.

Local affiliates like WNBC commit to network time (i.e, we will show NBCs Prime Time and Daytime lineups) and local affiliate time (where they show local news and syndicated programming). Its a complicated arrangement.

WNBC can move the Ellen Show to 2pm or 12pm. They moved Days from 1pm to 2pm, back to 1pm to now 12pm. But like you said something about the advertising, they will not do that because most viewers watch her show at 3pm. Meaning, it's a sweet spot for her show.

if ellen gets pre-empted by news at 12 that's tough luck for ellen fans and ellen fans as an alternative can watch ellen on demand and watch ellen on the nbc app on computers while everybody else watches days unabated at 3pm everywhere

Can you read? We've told you so many times about how affiliates work and you are ignoring it. Most people get Days normal time. It shouldn't change just because you have issues with your local affiliate cutting in.

Thaaos, really? You need to be taking this up with your local affiliate, not NBC, and not on here. Local affiliates decide when they want to show Days, and I'm sure they think they're making the best choice for their market for their ratings. NBC and Days has nothing to do with when Days is shown in all these different markets.

I too live in NY and Days is interrupted EVERYDAY, if it even comes on at all. Yes, we're in a pandemic and yes, watching a full episode of Days would be a nice break in the day so I get Thaaos opinion and will leave it that.

Thank you. Everyone crying about their soap getting interrupted. A pandemic is way more important than a soap. It'll come on later or it'll be on the website or app or whatever. Catch it then.

I don't think you want Days going head to head with GH anyway. GH is not doing so hot but it is still doing better than Days and I doubt it would help Days ratings.

My local NBC airs neighboring state’s Gov but all good. They air days at 2:00 a.m. which is time slot for Today with Hoda repeat. Or I can watch earlier on NBC App. I prefer to watch dvr the next day so I can fast forward commercials.

are you afraid of competition? if Days can't beat GH in the ratings then Days should be available on computers and apps only and not TV anymore

Where I live, GH is interrupted more than Days. I watch them both and like the slot they are in so they won't compete with each other.
