I actually was moved by her pain. The whole episode I was rolling my eyes, waiting for it to click for her because clearly Xander did not want to come out and just say it.
l will not be able to see this until later, for the usual reason nowadays. But have to say, maybe this time is the right time to pull out all the stops on the emoting.
She killed her granddaughter, it seemed completely appropriate to me. She wasn’t expecting to hear that at all from Xander, I think it took awhile before she fully grasped what she did.
I'm just glad Maggie knows the truth now...Her reaction was right on the money when I listed the crap she is facing..She killed Adrian. She killed her granddaughter. She's a senior citizen in prison, her husband has been stabbed and he's already knocking on deaths door...and she may be facing vehicular manslaughter with special circumstances (DUI) and she is struck unable to do anything to clear herself..Yep! she in a pickle.
Not over the top to me. Maggie acted appropriately for finding out she also killed her granddaughter in that accident. It devastated her, and Maggie acted like any person would in a horrifying situation like that. Suzanne was wonderful, IMO.
LOL! Your comment cracked me up, even though I loved Maggie's and Sarah's performances. I thought they were appropriately OTT considering the circumstances. But I love your comment.
Being horrified by what happened is understandable but what I didn't like was her self righteous attitude throughout the episode prior to finding that out. I don't find her a very appealing character.
