Why aren't they showing Marlena with Evan and Zoey?

I mean, talk about a wasted opportunity! Marlena helped raise Zoey and Evan when Orpheus kidnapped her and held her prisoner on some island for several months. I understand she's not their mother, but she should have some residual feelings for two babies she took care of. What a great conflict, having Marlena hating and being scared of Orpheus but caring about his children, and vice versa- Zoey and Evan may have fond memories of Marlena, too, even if they're only vague recollections. And what a perfect time to show flashbacks of Marlena then? The show is already padding the episodes with flashbacks to scenes that aired THE DAY BEFORE, so why not actually show flashbacks to something some fans could use reminding of?

I really hope they don't blow this unique opportunity.

Same here, but Marlena is not the same warm hearted person she once was, except to certain chosen ones. I thought her reaction when Orpheus
was talking about his children to her was odd, it was like she had never cared for them at all, but she should remember them as children and have
some kind of warmth left for them.

I have to say, I'm really liking both Zoey and the actress who's playing her. She's got a warmth and confidence about her I find appealing. She really seems concerned for Evan, and apprehensive about Orpheus. The show would be smart to keep her on- she could give Nicole a run for her money with Eric, or Kristen with Brady.

I mean if Marlena doesn't care her granddaughter was swapped with her husband's granddaughter why in the world would she care about these children she was kidnapped and forced to be nanny for back in the 80's.

To me her conversation with Orpheus when he came back made it sound like she didn't give an F what happened to his kids IMO.

Zoey doesn't seem like a bad seed at all. She's sticking by her brother and dealing with a psychopath for a father. I hope the show keeps her around, I'd love to see her interact with characters like Lani, Nicole, Marlena, etc. Plus the show needs another lawyer besides poor Justin LOL.

It is going to be a different actress in the part soon. That will change the dynamic between the characters and not the same kind of chemistry.

Orpheus Clan seems to be just another Clyde Weston Family. And I bet the secret turns out to be just as none spectacular as Jordan’s secret when she came to Salem to take care of Rafe. And Zoey will turn out to be a loon so that Rafe can keep David.

I don’t blame Marlena for not showing any interest.

Because most of the viewership don't even know about that. Lots of people only know who Orpheus is from his recent history.
