Theory on Jake

I have this theory that(as mentioned in a different thread) I'm not ready to disclose, reason is...it's a little out there and if I'm wrong I don't want to come across as foolish. My spoiler resources are fairly accurate and some of the current spoilers are very much confirming my theory just might have merit.

So instead of just "coming out with it" as the story with Jake plays out and as new spoilers come in and new developments happen, I'll be chiming in to tie things together...if they tie together. If you don't here me chime in...I guess my theory was wrong.

Clue 1) Abigail's hallucinations.

This might not tie into Jake's real Identity, but it's interesting that Abby's psyche is selective, Why would she see "Ben, the necktie killer" and not Stefan himself(considering his "lookalike" has surfaced) Abby's had more recent drama with Stefan than with Ben. There's no question that Jake will obviously interact with most of the same characters Stefan did. It will be weird to see how the "polar opposite of Stefan" would be with Chad, but I'm most interested in how this dynamic plays with Abby. Chad has always been a competitor than a friend/partner to Ben, this arose from Ben's time with Abby. Jake now falls in the category of giving that objective opinion. For instance, Ben asked Jake why he hired him, Jake say's(in not so many words) my deepest instincts tell me your a decent guy and doesn't care much about what his past was. Would Jake have the same opinion of Ben, after meeting Chad and Abigail, especially now?

My guess, Jake is NOT going to be on Ben's side on this...if I'm right here, clue ! is confirmed.

Okay I am really getting old. I do not understand one thing you are saying with this post. I am totally confused. Abby has not seen the "lookalike" yet so why would she be thinking of Stefan? Yesterday she saw Orpheus with her mother.

Um....some of your spoilers or maybe all of it. never came true As of Jake, it is possible that there is already new developments coming. Maybe he is the real Stefan with no memory or Stefan’s twin.

To be fair, the s/l that Jake is Stefan with no memory is quite straight forward, it's what everyone(myself included) would like to see happen. What I'm saying, is not only keep an open mind on who he can be paired with(other than Gabi) but to also be open to the possibility that he could be some other character from Day's history with plastic surgery done to him to make him look just like Stefan.

Now I haven't really mentioned any spoilers...this is not a spoilers thread. Further they are not "My" spoilers. I'm getting my information from reliable sites that are fairly accurate in their spoiler detail. Some of which are known through out this forum, some haven't made public yet(at least, not in this forum). Now I've projected a theory, based on the spoilers I've read...I might be wrong(in my thought process), but I don't think so.

One of my crazy, crack theories regarding Stefan's true identity since before his death was that he was really Nicolas Alamain. One, it explains Vivian's attachment to him and it would be one way of hurting Carly (taking her son away) after she killed her favourite nephew, Lawrence a few years back. Making him a DiMera would have been her way of paying Stefano back for whatever wrong he did her by enacting a hostile take-over from within. I doubt Days would ever go there.

I miss the Alamains being a mainstay on this show (John and Brady don't seem to count anymore due to John's history being revised a million time over with each writer change).

The common denominator with Jake and Ciara are that he and Ciara both have this affinity with motorcycles...it's obvious that they would have a connection. In a different thread we talked about Jake's age, I think that since this s/l is playing up the "coincidental doppelganger" concept, we are to assume that Jake and Stefan are roughly the same age. Gabi's visit to Stefan's tombstone showed us that Stefan was born in 74, if the age factor plays any significand's in this story, Ciara and Jake's relationship will be nothing more than a close bond. Of course that doesn't mean that Gabi won't jump to conclusions.

I like how closely you’re paying attention and catching onto clues. You might be onto something. Me personally, I’m 98% sure Jake is Stefan. I’ve also been paying close attention and I’m starting to get my own theories on “Jake”. I don’t think it’s the typical amnesia story. I see a twist in all this.

Yes, everyone of these theories are valid(for Day's standards). We all have are theories/predictions on what's going on here, but after reading the BB article, it just seems to me that TPTB have inserted this new character with not really knowing where this is going...end result being that none of the "obvious tropes" will transpire. Now I'm a big Stabi supporter and even though I would love for Jake to actually be Stefan, looking at a HEA for Gabi/Stefan from a retrospective point of view, makes this s/l somewhat cumbersome...no see I'm convinced there is more to this than reuniting these two.

I think he is Stefan for the simple reason that the head writer has no imagination or originality at all and will go with the typical soap trope. In this case, a mind chip by Rolf.

Clue 3) Jake "remembers" being with some woman(he mentioned it in dialogue with Ben on Friday's show). Jake says, he loved her, but he's moved on. the way he said it made it seem like it was her faults/deficiencies that attracted him to her and that it was not his fault they weren't together now...this does not jive with any amnesia story. Even his description of this woman did not sound like anything Stefan would say....it almost sounded something like how Bo would describe Hope back in the early days.. Either he knows he's Stefan now and he's playing everybody or this is not Stefan...these are really the only choices that make any sense. I really like how B.B. is making this Jake character nothing at all like Stefan, his attempt at being a "different character" is brilliant. He's even added a rasp in his voice which makes him seem older.

Now somewhere in the timeline that Stefan passed(assuming Jake is Stefan) he had a relationship with someone, learned how to be a mechanic, all within a year, that's hard to swallow. I get the feeling there might be a twinge of wishful thinking associated with this theory.

You are forgetting, if he's truly Stefan, he wouldn't have any memory of his high school or college days...providing of course we are to assume, he assumed the name Jake Lambert, because of amnesia. The history of Stefan tells us his adopted parents gave him the name, Sam Maitland. Whatever his hobbies were his career path and calling has always been as entrepreneurial, this was the whole premise of his back-story.

You also sort of missed my point about Jake's comment about his ex. Listen to the dialogue in that scene again. Jake never gave any physical description like, hair color, height, color of eyes etc., . he talked in terms like stubbornness, persistent, and aggressive, yes they could all apply to Gabi, but these qualities apply to a hundred million women as well. To make the statement, he was describing Gabi to a t, is a huge leap.

Yes, he was a corporate raider. That doesn't mean he didn't work part time when he went to college and /or high school. ? Heck for all we know one of Stefan's hobbies could have been fixing up cars. We don't know every single detail about Stefan or his life as Sam Maitland. Funny how.his comments regarding his ex match closely with what he said about Gabi. ? No, he didn't say hey " my ex name is Gabi! " But, to say it's not possible for it to be Gabi is kinda shortsighted. This is a soap. Nothing is that complex.

On twitter, someone put together a spliced video of Jake describing his woman and it was the exact words Stefan used with Gabi as he told her on different occasions how/why he felt for her. Someone posted that tweet somewhere on this forum just yesterday, i just can't remember which thread, since a lot of threads get deleted these days.

i think jake is stefan but stefan is keeping his identity under wraps even from gabi and he needs info re Dimera being that he's been gone for awhile and when it's time to strike chad won't know what hit him bc all he will know is the guy who looks like stefan is jake the mechanic meanwhile stefan gets dimera from chad.

i'm not sure what the other poster is saying but it sounded a bit complicated to me, i wasn't wactching when the alamain guy was on days. i hope ron keeps the story simple, i want to be entertained plain and simple and i also want love in the afternoon and jake/stefan and gabi bring it!!

I was not watching Days when Gabi and Steffan were a couple. I was taking a break from the show. Today I watched and thought Gabi and Jake had a great deal of chemistry.
