Kayla delivers the tragic news to Steve that his eye is beyond repair. "It's difficult, but she's been there before with him," notes her portrayed, Mary Beth Evans. "Now, they're in that space, again, and she's like, "how did we get here?" Kayla removes his manage and puts his patch in place. .Steve opens up about Kayla being the only person close to him who's ever seen his wound, and it stirs something between the twosome. "They both have this incredible connection," points out Evans. "I feel like, during this time, they are almost in their own little capsule, But what goes on in there doesn't necessarily carry out of that room. They're in this sweet, intimate moment, and you think things are going to go a certain way, but then it flips. Steve goes back to, "But I can't be trusted and you can't be with me." He's driving things and pushing her away." Hope interrupts, and Kayla goes off to get Steve's release papers. As Steve's leaving the hospital, he tells Kayla that he'll be staying with Hope. "Kayla doesn't"t necessarily think something"s up with the two of them but it"s definitely a stab." Sums up Evans

I hope they don't put Steve and Hope together romantically but it looks like that's where they are headed. Hopefully though just to ultimately drive kayla back to Steve.

This is sad and wrong if Ron is taking Steve and Hope in a sexual/romantic direction. Some couples should NEVER be tried and this is one of them.

Hope and Rafe don't have a decades long history of being platonic friends before they turned romantic. Hope and Rafe were never wrong. Steve and Hope would be. Hope is very close with Kayla, as a best friend, almost like a sister, and has been for years, and for Hope to take up with Steve, when she knows it will always be Steve and Kayla for each other, and that it will hurt Kayla terribly, that makes, both Hope and Steve look horrible.

See why I don't trust Ron's writing? Now that the writers were told to quit writing, this would be a good time for them too go back and read the real history of the shows characters.

Because of the guilt Hope suffers for going after John, it would not make sense if she repeats the mistake with Steve. But since when has Days made sense lately.

At least it makes think interesting, lol. I liked Stayla but I really enjoy Steve/Hope scenes. It’s even more interesting because I really like both Kayla and Hope!

I hope it is only to make Kayla jealous. She already is feeling the stab as MBE stated. I don't know what it will take for Steve to feel like Kayla can be safe around him. I think the J/K stuff is gross. It is too close to family, her husband's sisters husband.

Sounds like great scenes!! They have such wonderful chemistry. Do not see that chemistry with Hope. Part of the downside of being one part of a supercouple!!

I am too. I think they will show those types of moments and then we will see them sharing stolen glances. This is going to be such a torturous but sweet way to see them work their way back to one another.

Kayla has moved on, so why can't Steve? We know Steve is Kayla's destiny, but drama and obstacles will happen before they reunite. This is a soap! Why would anyone be surprised?

I hate Ron's writing he just about ruined oltl.....and is working on ruining this one..are there no other writers in CA?....

He also ruined GH and turned it into a mess. I do not know how he keeps getting hired. He has three story plots and inserts them in for whatever show he is writing even if it makes no sense for the character.

eileenregina He saved GH. He limited Sonny's stronghold on the show and finally showcased the HOSPITAL. And OLTL had the highest ratings of the ABC shows when it was cancelled.

I have heard very mixed thing about him. I personally am not a fan of his writing.
