Xander's Eric obsession

Nope, he hasn’t. He must have something to prove to the guy. He needs to hook up with Lani and stop chasing Eric’s left overs. They seem to not want him anyway.

Xander does not like Eric because Nicole loving Eric. Am surprised that he was not like that with Sarah. I think he should find a new lady on his own....how about Hope? Or Hattie?

Well, the only woman that both Eric and Xander have "been with" is Sarah (and she came after Xander, opening up that door). Xander being interested in Nicole didn't really have anything to do with Eric. And being with Nicole would really connect him to pretty much every man (in particular, Kiriakis men) in Salem... Just sayin'. Eric is nothing special in that category.

Xander's interest in Nicole was not spurred by Eric. Xander saw Nicole, he liked her and flirted and she responded. The rest went on from there. Nicole had brothers wanting to kill each other in the past. Xander trying to kill Eric is par for the course. Not excusing it, just saying that it does not indicate an obsession with Eric.

As much as we'd like to forget that stupid elephant storyline ... it did happen! Xander was after her too. Serena and Xander were a thing, he pursued Nicole, and slept with Sarah. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and to me three times an obsession/pattern.

He already knew Serena and had been in a relationship with her before they met again in Salem. Did his pursuit of Nicole start as soon as he met her or later, after he could have known that she had a past with Eric. I thought he flirted with Nicole from the moment he met her (and therefore would not have known about her connection to Eric).

All I am saying is that Xander does not seem to have actively pursued women based on their connection to Eric. The female pool in that age range is only but so big. It is not unusual for there is a lot of "crossover."
