When Ciara made her case yesterday in Ben's defense and Andre was mentioned Julie brushed it off as "well that was a public service". Basically she said it was ok Abigail killed Andre because he wasn't a very nice man. Really? Who do these Hortons think they are? That they can play God with people's lives and walk away smelling like a rose? And then there's her Nick. I read about his character and it seems that the only person who mourned him when he died was Julie. That woman is like noise. Pure noise. But at least she wasn't screeching at Ciara this time.

Of course Julie would think that her sister Hope killed Stefano and she saw nothing wrong with that, Gabi does Salem a public service getting by killing Nick Fallon she screams bloody murder,how dare Gabi have the nerve to murder a killer and all around bad guy like Nick Fallon? I never saw Nick as an all around bad guy. He treated Gabi awful, but before he was thrown under the bus for a certain couple, they were good. BB was CB's best partner. -
I did because Nick killed not only because he killed Willow Starks and Trent Robbins and the way he was with Melanie. -
He also tried to take Will's kid away from him. He made their lives hell. He tried to rape Gabi, and then came back and blackmailed her, and Sami and Kate. He may not have started a monster, but that is how he turned out. He was a monster. Sure he expressed one moment of regret. Just like Andre started telling the whole town that he was no longer a danger to anyone. Both still were monsters, and yet it was ok for Abby to kill Andre and not for Gabi to kill Nick. Bottom line, Julie is a total hypocrite.

It reminded me of Gabi's sentencing from Nick's murder where Julie was ranting how she was going to get the judge to refuse the plea deal. Rafe pointed out that Nick had also killed someone (Tent Robbins) to which Julie promptly replied: "A despicable man." Making it clear then and with Ciara that she considers murder to be a horrible crime, unless of course that crime is committed by a Horton then the victim had it coming the world had been made a better place. I wonder how she's going to try to spin it when the truth about the cabin fire comes out.

Flowercity79 I hate to even sound like I'm defending Julie, cause the woman grates on my nerves, but anyone in her position when it comes to family vs outsiders, are always gonna defend the family members. Even if they are wrong. That's usually what family does. Sticks it through to the end. So of course she is gonna go after Gabi. She killed her family member. Same with Rafe. He chose Gabi's side. Unfortunately family members usually have a hard time admitting their loved ones are messed up. Doesn't make it right, but that's family members can be very hypocritical and biased. -
@kd877 Speaking for myself the issue with Julie is not that defends Nick it's the way in which she does it. She completely whitewashes over the things he's done. Gabi has made it clear that she cares more about a piece of lint she may find attached to her sock then she does Julie's opinion of her so I can sat Nick's treatment of her aside. But he was also gong after other Hortons full bore. He wasn't just obsessed with Gabi he was also obsessed with cutting Wil out of his own child's life resorting to blackmail to do it. He was also starting to terrorize Abigail holding what he knew about her affair with lE.J. over her head. Julie acknowledges none of it. It's aloways

kdw877 i totally understand her defending her family, and tbh if she never forgives Gabi thats ok in my book because blood is thicker than water. However knowing what she knows about what some of her family members have done and are capable of you would think she would be more open minded lol. But Julie will be Julie. I have a love/hate relationship with her lol

I think the best part of that whole dialogue was Ciara standing up for Ben. She made a lot of great points. Specifically about him being ill at the time of the murders. I also loved what she said about how is Ben not supposed to see himself as a monster if everyone keeps treating him like one? Very true.Comment

There is no such thing as formal serial killers; no one goes around saying, formal murderer, formal rapist, formal pedophile.
Ben is a serial killer and only stopped because he got caught. The fact that Ciara thinks her family members should give Ben the same break they have given family members make her look stupid and pathetic, also that she can't seem to grasp Ben's crimes are not comparable to Abby or anyone else in town still alive. Andre was the only other serial killer and I don't remember Julie being a fan. In fact, Hope hated Andre so much she actually did plant evidence on him for a murder she committed.
Ben as written is just a few missed pills from doing what he did before; what grandmother/aunt would be OK with him dating her kin????? -
If the she got involved with a "child molester" who had not harmed/saved HER who was handsome, didn't go around bragging about it, claimed he was sorry about his past even if just to her & not the victims/families, & had "changed", she'd have no problem with that if she believes a serial killer can change. Just change the crime &, as crazy as THIS sl has gone, that would be no different! I think most everyone realizes child molesters don't change either but it's only a soap where anything goes LOL! I'm just so disappointed they paired Ciara with a character like this with such shallow, insulting writing because they have "chemistry"! Gabi shot Nick in the back. She couldn't even face him when she killed him. If Gabi did Salem a public service then so did Hope and Abby. Nick was defenseless and minding his own business. Stefano ruined more lives and caused more chaos than Nick ever could dream of doing. Gabi got involved with Nick knowing his history and past and what he had done. She obviously didn't care who he had killed in the past. Of course, as soon as he makes her life miserable, then she panics. Right again Bluediamond this is why I don't buy the nonsense that this character Gabi had a right to take Nick's life. She could have called her brother the former FBI agent now cop to help her when Nick was blackmailing her. She had options but she chose to murder him in cold blood; the same Nick she would have sex with in Wilson's apartment when they believed she had broken up with him because he was being a homophobe. Gabi is a vengeful person; that is why she went after Abby knowing the woman was sick when the altars hurt her. She said numerous times, I know Abby was not in her right mind but I don't care. OK fine embrace your evil; I am actually happy they are no longer pretending she is a good person. -
Just as Abby knew who Andre was when she took him in as a friend.

Lets be honest with ourselves here. Not all murders are created equal. It's much different for someone to murder someone like Kayla, or Julie vs killing someone like Stefano, or Kristin DiMera. Some people are totally innocent while others put themselves in the crosshairs.Comment

Flowercity79 IKR?! When Abby duped everyone into believing Gabriella murdered Andre, they wanted her tarred and burned in the middle of HTS! Yet, when they learned it was Abby and Gabriella went to prison for the murder that Abby committed, there were nothing but crickets and more crickets! In fact, Julie was caught by Rafe bashing Gabriella for murdering Andre and had to remind her that her precious ole Abs and not his sister murdered him! Instead of apologizing she spewed well she's capable of murder bc she murdered my precious ole Nick! -

Maybe Gabi should have use the brain I assume she has and called the COPS when Nick was after her, but I guess she figure her ass was going to be jailed for trying to DROWN him. She is lucky Nick didn't take out his revenge by drowning her.

At the precise moment of Nick's murder, he was definitely minding his own business and his back was turned. Gabi premeditated his murder, but Karma did find Nick as he did deserve to get punished.
