Because I believe Marlena genuinely cares about Ben, not just as a patient but as a person and it's obvious how much Ben respects her and DH and RSW work so well together.

I really hope Marlena can regain Ben's trust

Sadly, I don't see it happening anytime soon. She completely violated his rights for a friend. She had a legal obligation. She said it herself. Not enough time had passed to assume Ciara is in danger. She should have told them to get the court order, instead of violating a patients rights. I'm disappointed in Marlena. I really thought she was gonna stand her ground. If Ben is a danger to himself or anyone else, then yes, she can break that confidentiality and report it, but there were no red flags on Ben's end during their conversation and Hope assuming Ciara is missing without legit proof she is missing, is not enough to keep Marlena from possibly losing her license. If Ben wanted too, he could sue her too.

I think Ben should sue all of Salem. Everybody betrays him, denies him his rights, doesn't
treat him the way he thinks he should be treated and I'm sure there are several more things
he could dream up. He'll confront Marlena for daring to help someone she used to consider
family to help find a girl who is missing, that he went on and on about having to find, to
Marlena. He would be first on anyone's list of suspects and time would be of the essence.

Huh? While Marlena stupidly divulged info to Hope. Hope is the one person actively violating his rights left and right abusing her position. She is literally antagonizing a reformed serial killer in the hopes that he snaps. It's illegal, unethical, and downright stupid to put others at risk. I hope Ben sues.

What really is upsetting is that HOPE has asked Marlena twice to break confidentially. Hope was angry at Marlena for not recommending Ben to be put away when he got out. Marlena told her is was fine to be released and Hope wanted her to recommend him to go back. I get that Hope is concerned about her daughter dating Ben. Hope doesn't care that she could ruin Marlena's career as long as she gets what she wants. I really want them too write Hope they way they use to she was caring about others. I dislike this version of Hope and I know there are a ton of Hope fans but I want old Hope back she was one of my favorites. I feel like she needs Bo to balance her out because Ted or Rafe aren't doing it.

There isn't anyone who has not done something on this soap. Hope murder Stefano and covered it up and manages to break the law when it suits her. She is a shell of what she use to be. I viewed Hope as a really good girl she always did the right thing. I would love for her to go back to who she really is. Yes I know people will never like Ben and Hope continues to badger Ben. She was ransacking his hotel room without a search warrant because she felt like it.

I think Ted balanced her well, today. My opinion of Marlena as a doctor has never been sky high. Her
advice to Billie, when Steve had amnesia, and couldn't remember Kayla, was to go for it, if she wanted
Steve. She didn't care about Kayla. Hope she won't give the same advice to Eve, about Jack.

Like I said in the other thread.....My poor MarBen. How will he be able to trust her again.I hope Marlena gets to at least tell him her version. I don't want him to think she considered him dangerous like Ted said.
I do hope there is a reason for this and Hope/Ted will be finally held accountable. I want Ben to fight back a little.

I'd like to think he could trust her again, but it was doctor-patient confidentiality that led him to be able to open up to her in the first place. He trusted her and she betrayed that. For Hope. The same woman who has been doing her best to lock him up, even if it means pushing him to kill again. Personally I lost a whole lot of respect for Marlena. She knew it hadn't been long enough to declare Ciara missing and she knew she was not supposed to divulge anything he told her without a court order. Now granted, she never said he was a danger to anyone. Hope made that part up because, well, she's the new Hope. Still, the fact that Marlena violated the doctor-patient confidentiality that is supposed to be sacred cannot be denied. I'm afraid if Ben ever trusts her, it's not going to be easy. Shame, as his interactions with her were some of the best.

l hate it that Marlena caved in to Hope and Ted, but she was pushed hard. Ben will have no one to trust now, though they may just sweep this breach of ethics under the rug as they do many inconvenient truths.

Pushed hard, and doubled up on, too. I hope she explains to Ben how they ganged up on her, actually blocking her way out if the office. If she does that, Ben will understand. She was an anchor for him when no one else was, and he should remember that. Everyone, including Marlena, deserves a second chance.

Eh. While I hate that she broke confidentiality, if Marlena can forgive Ben for trying to kill her, he can forgive her for caving to Hope's demands.
