Kate upset Tripp not taking her order at HTS since he's on his way to hospital-he got burned; Ted sits opposite Kate; Eli asks Hope why Rafe went to Europe; Melinda enters, blasting H for letting another high profile criminal go free; Haley tells Kayla good exp w/Mar; Haley tells Kayla feels a lot better after talking to Mar and looks forward to feeling better & better-tells Kay will never try take her life again; JJ enters pub & sees Jack at bar-Ja doesn't respond until JJ calls him by name, not Dad; JJ asks Jack to join him for beer & Ja says yes; Eve has Rolf's diary & considers destroying it; Jen at Eve's not door & E tells her she's not welcome; Jen doesn't take no for an answer & walks in; JJ asks Jack what he's looking at; Ja says looking into politics; JJ tells how Jack taught about civics; Ja says looking into mayoral race; JJ asks if thinking about running against Abe; JJ tells Ja he used to date Abe's daughter & almost killed his son; Eve asks Jen what she wants; Jen says needs to see Jack; Eve shows Jen he's not there; E & J mix it up over Jack; Jen says Ja will never marry her; Eve shows Jen the bridal mag Ja gave her; Ted asks Kate if surprised to see her; K says surprised to see him in Salem; T says turning over new leaf-partly due to Hope; Melinda tells H let Xander slip thru fingers; Melinda learns the vid footage is gone & is furious; Melinda tells Abe he needs to fire Hope; Haley tells Kayla doesn't know how to thank JJ since letting him crash at his place-tells Kay that roommate threw her out; Kay looks concerned how close Ha getting to JJ as Tripp enters w/burn & all 3 go to check it out; JJ tells Jack about how he felt after shooting Theo & how almost ended his life; Ja sorry wasn't there for him; JJ assures Ja he was an amazing father-his idol; JJ tells Ja thought about him non-stop during past year;
JJ tells Jack had many to support him & it saved him and he's trying to pay it forward; Ja guesses JJ helping girl from New Year's Eve; Jen tells Eve will only marry her w/out his memory; Eve says crap shoot as to whether Ja will get memory back; Eve taunts Jen about formula seems lost and how careless Seth Burns was to lose the diary with it; Kate asks Ted about Hope; T tells K what H did when he returned; K says that's H's job; T says H went above & beyond & will be upstanding citizen; K laughs & then reminds T that H is married; T denies he's moving in on H; Ted asks Kate to start over; Eli tells Melinda Hope is amazing commissioner; H admits cases have been issue cause haven't had enough evidence; Abe admits his office made the mistake deleting footage; Kayla tells Tripp not bad burn; Tr says he figured; Kayla & Tripp talk about why both upset Steve can't come home soon; Kay intros Haley to Tr & asks Ha to dress his wound as Kay leaves to make a call; JJ tells Jack that he & Ha are just friends; JJ asks Ja how things went w/Jen the other night; Jack tells JJ thinks has more in common w/Eve; JJ tells Ja that Eve just using him as pawn like used him; Ja learns from JJ what Eve did with him; Jen tells Eve that Ja needs one trigger to get his memory; Eve says doesn't seem so; Eve tells Jen Jack would choose him; Jen says real Ja would never choose her that's why she has to play dirty; Eve says Jen is wrong & she'll prove it
Haley finishes w/Tripp; Tr tells Ha he made mistake & can't be doc anymore; Ha says loves being nurse but says used to want to have rabbit farm; Tr & Ha joke & then Tr says his dad (adopted one) wasn't around the younger; Abe tells Melinda what happened & says their department's security breached cause A handed out favors; A tells Mel to watch her tone; Mel says her team is a joke & she quits not wanting to be associated w/them; -
Hope thanks Eli for having her back; E asks H about Rafe's trip; H tells E about R going to help w/Johnny & doesn't know how long he'll gone; Kate asks Ted if ploy to get her close to kill her; T admits put K in bad position & forgives her; Kate tells Ted won't give him chance to make up for his past w/her; Eli tells Hope that Rafe wouldn't cheat on her; E brings up Ted & Hope annoyed-leaves says needs fresh air; Melinda says planned to quit for a while cause of dept screw ups & will move onto bigger & better things; Jack realizes Eve seduced JJ to get at Jen; JJ says does accept some responsibility; Ja says strange that JJ has same taste in women; JJ says he'll leave on that awkward note; Ja tells JJ wants make up for lost time with or without memory; JJ thanks Ja; JJ tells Jack he can come over & talk whenever; JJ gives Ja his contact info & address; JJ tells Ja that Abe is popular & defeating him won't be easy; Ja says will take under advisement; Eve shows Jen contract didn't sign; Jen figures Eve wants rub relationship in her face; Eve hums wedding march; Jen tells Eve she's delusional & will be alone again, as always; Jen leaves & Eve tosses contract after her; Ted asks Kate to reconsider; K says no-she can breathe free now; T asks K for 1 last kiss goodbye; Tripp sees Kayla who says Haley did good job; Tr asks Kay if heard from Steve; Kay hopes Steve wants to come back, esp to be united w/Jack
Jack shows at Eve's room & says she has some explaining to do; Haley sees JJ at home & brought ingredients to make them nice dinner; Ha admits hasn't talked to Melinda; Jen meets Mel at park bench; Mel tells Jen she resigned as DA; Melinda tells Jen has major scoop for her paper; Jen seems ready to hear it; Tripp wants to meet his Uncle Jack; Kayla says Ja lost memory; Tr says maybe Steve can help when back-tells Kay Steve loves her & will be back -they hug; Kate tosses drink on Ted & tells him to go to hell; Hope in HTS behind & smiles when T turns around awkwardly; Abe tells Eli that Melinda resigned; E happy-won't be prob for either of them anymore; Mel tells Jen she's positive & she should run the story; Haley asks JJ how his day went; JJ tells Ha felt like connected w/Jack; Haley/JJ talk about natural connections w/ppl; Jack asks Eve about sleeping w/his son; Eve says ancient history-was going thru hard time like when he slept w/Jen's mom; Ja says who is he to judge; Eve asks Ja about mayoral race; Jack tells Eve they'll give Abe run for his money--SHOW OVERComment
