Am I the only who can't stand him at times? He's done so many things wrong but he acts so holier than thou when someone else messes up. For someone who used to be a priest he really needs a refresher course on forgiveness! He blames Brady for Nicole dying (I'm not a Brady fan by any means either to be honest) but Eric actually did kill someone AND almost killed Brady! Lets not us also forget he slept with Nicole when he knew she was still with Brady! He blamed Jennifer for not telling him what Brady did but meanwhile the whole time she was obviously just second choice since he ran straight to Nicole. Then most recently butting in to Rex and Sarah's argument. Don't get me wrong Rex is a piece of work himself but like seriously Eric would have been pissed if someone butt into his conversation like that.

You are not alone in this line of thinking. I agree with everything you said. Yes, Brady behaved badly when he found out Nicole was in luv with his brother, and had slept with him. But where was Eric 's responsibility in that scenario? Why, given his high moral standards, did he not first go to his brother and tell him of his and Nicole's feelings before making a fool of him. And his treatment of Jennifer, after professing over and over how much he lived her and was over Nicole.....lies. He is just a big liar. -

No I feel the same. He also never accepted Nicole for who she was either. Eric/Nicole were never this great love story for the most part he was offscreen for most of the time of the show and they were barely together.
She has way more romantic history with EJ and Brady both pairings of hers I prefer.
Brady may be a douche but he's "all in" to the woman he's currently with not really something you can say with Eric and is on the losing end so he's way easier for me to take than Eric.Comment

The only time he annoyed me was a few years ago when he kept moping and then running into Nicole and scowling at her. Other than that no.
But he can be boring at times. And it doesn't help that Roman -- the ultimate boring character on DOOL -- is in lots of scenes with him.Comment

Eric is a very handsome man and oh so sexy, also he is a great crier and a fantastic actor but as long as I can remember the writing for him has been disgusting. I might be in the minority but Eric and Nicole's love story never did it for me. If Ron doesn't rush Eric with Sarah, he might just have the opposite effect on me.Comment

I completely agree. How can he keep judging people when he killed Daniel and slept with his brother’s girlfriend? He acts like he is a saint and so does everyone else. And he always judged Nicole except at the very end but I’m sure he would have if he had more time.Comment

Personally, if I caused the death of my best friend due to drunk driving.... I would kill myself. I just could not live if I killed my best friend. Eric is no more judgemental than some other Salemites who look down their noses at others. Yeah he was a priest, WAS being the key word here. So for me he can judge all he wants, he doesn't annoy me like some others do.Comment
