Poll: Will Chad have Abby committed?

So, this is Gabi's plan of attack.

She thinks that Chad will freak out and put pregnant Abby back in Shadybrook after "finding out" that her DID is back.

Do you think Chad would do that?

My opinion:

No. Gabi's plan is going to fail.

Why? Chad did this before and it costed him everything. Shadybook misdiagnosed Abby and instead of making her better... she got worse. They didn't allow her to have any contact with her family and encouraged her to cut off ties with Chad and Thomas.

Abby will never set foot place in that institution and I do not think Chad will allow it.


Everyone of Gabi's schemes tests how much Chad loves Abby and this one is no different. Will he accept not fathering her child? With great difficulty and a brief separation, yes... he will. Even if it is a struggle, he wants "to be the husband Abby deserves." His own words. Will he commit Abby? No. He loves her too much.

I don't Chad will fail this test.

True love always prevails! And bitter, sad little girls have to take their ball home and cry about it!

I say, very yes! Why? He can't handle her mess! He walked out on her and gets angry of the idea of Stefan in their lives. Or maybe is angry that Abby slept with 2 DiMera men. He was angry with her when Stefan left the Horton house weeks ago.

Chad would never have Abby committed her loves her to much and he would never put her through what she went through the first time no Chad will help Abby this time around on himself. Chad loves Abby and he will never put her into a mental hospital again. True love will make it through when it comes to Abby and Chad they will be just fine and Gabi will not win. Chad loves Abby these tests and Gabi's schemes are not going to separate Chad and Abby from each other true love always wins.

No. Not only does he love Abby but he will find out that it was all Gabi setting it up...drugging his wife....trying to keep her away....switching the test results...breaking in to Abby's home …..setting up Stefan to be there....planning to be his wife....etc. so why would he?

With the information that the characters have, should he? Absolutely 100% yes. Ignoring Abby's mental illness is what caused this whole mess in the first place. When she is ill she is an enormous danger to everyone around her and if they think she is sick again, she should be under 24hr care and observation, ESPECIALLY since she is pregnant.

Will he? No. Because Abby and Chad, at the heart of it, are selfish people who don't care if Abby hurts people while she is off her meds or what ever. ABBY should be committing herself if she thinks she is ill. But she won't, because it is inconvenient for her.

This is a stupid plot of Gabi's and will fail miserably. Chabby fan that I am will enjoy watching that happen.

I don't believe it's going to come to Chad committing Abby again. However, even if it did, it doesn't disprove his love for her. If he reached that point, it would be ONLY because he thinks that's best for her and for her mental health, which we all know is just being faked by Gabi. Abby's previous misdiagnosis at the hospital, could play a role here in him not wanting to commit her, but as I said, I don't think it's going to go that far. This is where Chad's belief and love in Abigail will prevail. Yes, he left temporarily, but it's clear his love for her is still very much alive. Gabi will be what she always is in the end, the loser!!!

Chad knows Abby so well but yet Gabi was the one who pointed out to him she was acting strange w/the DID. If Chad didn't walk in on Abby with Stefan he'd probably still be fumbling around thinking she just had a headache every time she grabs her head. Chad also couldn't figure out Abby was lying to him about loving Dario.

Is it really selfish to not want to return to a place where she was misdiagnosed and, essentially, held captive? She literally had to climb out a window... they were trying to make her break off all contact with her husband and her son.

There are other ways for her to get care that does not include being committed and going to Shadybrook.


Besides... her DID isn't even back... so, no one will be in any sort of danger... except for Abby and her baby who are being drugged.

I think he should. I can't help wanting her put away even if it's a mental hospital for what she did to Gabi and Andre. She needed more than a two week stay at her grandmother's home for treatment, so this would be a chance for her to get more help.

I guess some are forgetting that Abigail isn't really sick, Gabi is just making her think she is. So, Abigail doesn't need locked up and she has done nothing to be locked up for.

She was misdiagnosed when she was committed and given the wrong meds. She really had PTSD which was causing her extreme anxiety and paranoia.

She has DID for sure as well and was treated for it... she has been integrated. I don't think it will be coming back for this storyline.
