I wonder the same thing but I feel that Ben has moved on....he is into Ciara
....thank god he is not dwelling on Abby. I was going for that, but not anymore. I would rather see Abby running into Stefan more.

I am happy Abby has not run into the man that terrorized her she has enough problems to deal with right now like her therapy taking her medication and taking care of herself and her son with Chad. She has to focus on her marriage and her son right now and not worry about the man who terrorized her. She already has one person who won't leave her alone who hurt her she doesn't need to deal with another one. She already has another man who won't leave her alone that terrorized her and hurt her that is Stefan she doesn't need another one.Abby has her marriage to deal with and her son and daughter she is pregnant with with her husband. She should deal with the happy times she will have with her husband and deal with the fact that she is already being terrorized by a witch.Comment

She can tell him she doesn’t know because she was raped by her brother-in-law and duped by her BFF. But Chad is her husband so legally, it’s his.
And Ben could take a flying leap off the pier. Abigail’s baby is not his, so he should not be concerned unless he is still hung up on her and is really playing Ciara.

I heard that Abby and Ben will have interaction, not sure when though. I heard it might not be till Kate returns, but who knows? So many things change behind the scenes. I think Abby's been through enough torment, she shouldn't have to interact with another tormentor. She's already subjected to her rapist, and now Gabi, she doesn't need Ben too, but I'm sure they will at some point.Comment

I can’t take Ben’s intersections with MM’s Abby seriously.
They have no tension like the antagonistic tension KM and RSW had in their scenes. So I want none of that. Ben was already used at Chabby’s joke of wedding to prop up Abby so I don’t want to see it again.
I want to see Ben and Abby scenes when KM will be back on the role. That will be one good confrontation.Comment

I agree about them having no tension. I disagree that he propped up Chabby as I stated below. It was the first time I started to pay attention to him when he was so dismissive of them and focused on Sonny. Thereafter, his interactions with Will, JJ and Sami took on a life of their own. It felt like Chabby were in his rear view mirror.

I know you mean this as a slight against Ben but I can assure you it isn't. You may call it the kiddie pool (and the only childish person so far is Claire so a kiddie pool it isn't) but right now, Ben and Ciara are poised to be one of this show's most popular pairings at the moment. Viewers are loving watching him on screen and some of us are even thrilled it's free of certain characters.

It would hurt his character more because it would be a reminder of what he has done. I would not even think it would be healthy. It is better that he stay away and keep the redemption going. Maybe if they come up witb some sort of decent scene between the two before she leaves, that would be fine. Right now keep him where he is.Comment

Good question OP.
In my opinion, RSW and MM didn't have any natural chemistry during their scene. He was quite dismissive of Chabby all together when he broke up Paulson's wedding which was quite good thing for his character because they were old news for him. Since then, Chabby have managed to self destruct on their own and are dealing with issues which can't be blamed on Ben. As the saying goes, not my circus, not my monkey.
I do believe that there will be an interaction or interactions when KM returns as Abby and those will be good. We know that KM likes working with RSW! I'm confident it will be good. It's better to hold off until KM returns on any scene between them. Otherwise you won't feel the history. It will be hollow like last time.Comment

Abby and Ben could be in a scene where she is forgiving him for what he did, and saying that she understands how a mental break could make a person do something out of character. Abby has enough to deal with right now. Serial Killer Ben, tortured her so badly at the cabin, tried to kill her and her baby, and drove her into a major mental breakdown. She does not need to have any contact with him, and I hope she doesn't.

Yep. They aren't sharing scenes for this very reason. Ben is being "redeemed" and having him interact with Abby is just a reminder of his misdeeds. And Abby has moved past Ben and that trauma (she has new traumas to deal with). Better to keep them away from each other.Originally posted by JMatthews View PostComment

I love that Ben is over his Chabby drama. His scenes with Ciara have breathed new life into this show something not seen since BF was finally paired with KM (something I despised because they ruined Ben for them but that's a topic for another day). I think the reason he'll be sharing scenes with Abby is because of KM returning to usher Abby off screen. We were led to believe Chabby's wedding was whatever closure Abby needed to move on with her life and it was but clearly Ron sees an opportunity to milk the drama with the "original" Abby (KM) so we'll be forced to sit through some sort of "reunion" and then Chabby will ride off to the sunset. MM is a fine actress but I believe she lacks a little something something. I don't think it's about rehashing the past, it's likely an opportunity for Ben to help Abby as she suffers the consequences of Gabi's revenge. Chad's practically useless in that area (he didn;t know Abby had issues until Gabby slapped him upside his head while sleeping with Stefan). JJ may be the person to protect his sister right now but Ron likely also wants to play up his connection Gabi putting him in the middle of sister and someone he still cares for. Thankfully Ben falling for Ciara only means his interactions with Abby won't be anything like his obsession from years ago. He already wants to make the best of his freedom and doesn't want to repeat the mistakes of his past which makes me think Ron's intention with Ben is to help Abby. Both characters will come full circle and only then will they both finally move on, jmo.
