Yes but they aren't going to interact. Plus I don't think it would be that weird unless they were playing a couple which they aren't. They share a child so they are already in each other's lives to begin with.

There was a recent interview with KL where he talks about his marriage and divorce from AZ. He says they are very good friends now along with her other half (SC) and co-parent their daughter Isabella. They just realised they weren't "that person" for each other. I don't think it'd be awkward at all even if AZ was sticking around but I doubt Rex and Nicole would really have a reason to interact in that way so it's not really an issue.
