This for old time Days viewers was wondering how did everyone feel when she turned out to be the Salem Slasher? It caught me by surprised . I knew he was abad guy he was a corrupt senator and had poison Kayla to keep his secret that he couldn't children from coming out but I never knew he hated hookers like that.

Hard to recall the details but i remember being just fine with it. the actor who played HD was so good at being bad that it just felt like a logical progression that he would go totally dark like that. It was fun.

I was fine with it too and yes he was great at being bad, He was just someone I hadn't even thought that could be the killer.

I've rewatched these episodes so many times, I have no idea what my first impression was of finding out Harper was the killer was. I do know that Joseph Campanella was perfectly cast in this role. I also remember the beautiful storyline surrounding it involving Kayla's deafness, and watching as she and Steve learned sign language. I also distinctly remember the explosion that cost Kayla her hearing, this stunt was so well done. I also felt real sympathy for Jack, who by now was a villain, he was losing someone again and his pain on screen felt raw.

When Harper was revealed as the killer, he had Kayla and Kim tired up on the roof of the loft, this story took time to tell involved a lot of characters, and had many different sub-stories going on.

When ghost Jack gave JJ that pen that was Harper's I was like what were you thinking. Jack (whom I admit I've never been a fan of) correctly came to hate that monster along with his birth father Duke who was almost as evil has Harper.

Duke may have not killed anyone but he was just as evil as Harper he abused Jo and.raped his own daughter Adrienne.
