Man, this guy is truly awesome. He’s killing it right now as Ben Weston. I’ve mentioned that I’m somewhat new to the show in other posts, but I can’t believe I missed him before. This guy is literally the perfect male soap lead. I’ll be honest I haven’t stanned a male soap actor this hard since I was introduced to Roger Howarth (OLTL, ATWT, GH). He’s really got just about everything I could ask for. The writers and producers on Days absolutely need to make him the lead of the show. He and Victoria Konefal have the ability to leave quite a mark together in Days history as well as soap history if they are given the opportunity.

He's fantastic!!! The truth is RSW always had the chops just not the material to work with. They just need to ensure they give him connections and roots to put down on the show to tether Ben to Salem. The reappearance of his sister will further allow him to flourish. Getting some Clyde guest appearances would be icing on the already delicious cake which is RSW. How does one make a serial killer endearing, sympathetic and a hero? The answer is by having a talented actor like RSW portray him. He's got a very natural chemistry with VK. They bounce off each other so well.-
I’ve been watching old Ben clips on YouTube. He and Jordan are great together. I love their relationship. I loved when Ben just attached Rafe when he found out her cheated on Jordan. He values his sister so much. I can’t wait until Jordan returns and they start sharing scenes again.
I also think Clyde is a really great character. A storyline involving Ciara, Ben, Jordan, Clyde and Hope is something I really really want to see at some point.

It's such a shame they wrote Ben into a corner before - he definitely is lead material .... handsome, charisma, personality - the total package. I just hope he doesn't leave for greener pastures before they get his story with Ciara going. I've had to accept so much unrealistic crap on this show that accepting his redemption is a walk in the park. Unfortunately, they're dragging it out much too long. They've beaten the other stories to death (C&A for example) or keep repeating old sls (Kristen's antics and Sami's drama). Enough already.Comment

I’m more worried about Victoria Konefal leaving than RSW. She’s still so young and hasn’t had the whole Hollywood experience yet. I love soaps, but I know a lot of actors don’t like getting stuck in the genre. It’s possible VK might try to leave before too many people start looking at her as a soap actress. I hope she at least stays long enough to let Cin play out for a while.Comment

TBH, I started watching DAYS again in 2014 after a couple years break out of pure curiosity because I heard he joined the cast (at the time he was a TPIR model so I knew him from that). He has come a long way as an actor since then. Not many actors can make you feel sympathy for an ex-serial killer and make him a rootable character in his path to redemption but he's done just that. It's really remarkable. Not to mention his off the charts chemistry with VK. I had no idea he had such a fan base for being a model on The Price is Right. One of the hosts on Dishin Days mentioned it too. He must of made quite an impression for that to stick in everyone’s minds. -
I wouldn't say he had a really HUGE fan base from TPIR, but he was the first ever male model in the show's history. Also it technically wasn't his first soap rodeo. I also watched him in the online version of AMC, so I already knew he was a capable actor. But he's grown leaps and bounds even since then.

He's really good. RSW didn't really catch my eye the first time on Days until they decided to make him go dark because Ben/Abby were bland and you could tell they were using him as the 3rd wheel for Chabby. They weren't invested in fleshing out the character. This time around you could see just how much he's improved as an actor and the character is dynamite (especially with Ciara).Comment

Okay, I know this is gonna sound terrible, but Ben being a serial killer is actually what drew me to this story in the first place. I heard Days was gonna do a serial killer love story, and I knew I had to be there for that. I find serial killers to be among the most interesting characters. I love how the writers are acting trying to dig into the mind of a serial killer and how his mind works. I actually feel badly for Ben because it’s not really his fault he was born with a chemical imbalance in his head. That obviously doesn’t make anything he did okay, but I do feel sympathy for him. I really like the idea of him trying to better himself and pursue a life with Ciara. -
LizWebberFan, if it sounds terrible to you, then I guess we're both going to hell LOL because that's what intrigued me as well. I love redemption stories, always have and the idea of trying to redeem someone that was so mentally ill just fascinates me. I also feel like it's important to show that not everyone who suffers from mental illness (even someone as ill as Ben was) is inherently evil, which is a big part of the stigma associated with it. Plus I also remember what Ben was like before a new writing regime turned him psycho, so I knew that good guy we were first introduced to in 2014 was still in there somewhere which is one reason why I can buy into it. The other is of course RSW. -
LizWebberFan if you are liking Ben and CIN, you should still do so Everyone likes different characters and couples. That is what Days wants from us. Ben to me was bland before becoming a serial killer. Him now, processing how to adjust now, is appealing to me! And that Ciara is glued to him.

I agree OP. I never thought I could even like Ben again, ever. After he was destroyed in Chabby angst for their dumb angst stories and became s sick and psychotic murderer, I never thought this could happen. RSW has turned this around with his awesome performances along with VK’s Ciara. They are so good..they have chemistry, they’re not fake onscreen, and they just come off as a down to earth, likeable pair. Great redemption story for Ben, I’m rooting for him and Ciara as my favorites now. Next to Gabi’s (free Gabi) and also maybe Eli/Abe’s stories, Cin is who I root for now!Last edited by ckg1; September 16, 2018, 09:39 PM.Comment

Not only is he a wonderful actor but he seems like he is humble, kind and so gracious to his fans. I just adore him!!!
He has sold the Ben redemption s/l to me, Not an easy task. It's because of him that I even bother watching Days anymore. love him so much!!!!
