  • ARTICLE: Two Scoops - Not giving up today

Will Marlena survive? Does Lucas need another kid? Should Roman take his old job back and head up the Salem P.D.? Let's discuss it all in this week's Two Scoops.

I would love to see Roman back as the Commish and Hope just a cop again. Maybe then
Roman could have a s/l and Hope could do something other than be at the station all the
    time, looking at folders.

      Steve’s non-farewell scene

Steve and Kayla’s story should have been wrapped up prior to Steve leaving. Contract negotiations go on every day in this industry, but on other shows you don’t have characters just disappearing in the middle of important scenes. This is part of producing a show. The storyline dealing with Kayla’s secret could have been accelerated, like Abby’s pregnancy, so this didn’t happen. Write Steve off sooner, if things worked out they could have brought him back.

I take issue with the article’s line about “his exit was so fast, it was easy to miss, especially since Steve wasn’t there”. Steve was there, SN’s last day was Friday August 31. Often after a character leaves they’re still mentioned, so the scenes on Monday are not Stephen Nichols' exit scene. His exit was Friday, but you would never know it from watching the show. They could have wrapped things up better, and sooner if they cared to. This was just sloppy.

I guess I should be happy they didn't wait longer to give Lucas a long lost child.

Marlena will definitely survive. Even though Deidre Hall is a major staple on DAYS, she did leave in the 90's to do prime time TV. My opinion as to what might make an interesting story line would be Hattie recovering from the gun shot instead of Marlena. Roman is done and really doesn't have much to at this point. I can't stand JT in that role, but yes, we do need a new commissioner that is not a Brady or a Carver. Can we have someone new?

I am enjoying Lil Bon Bon storyline! And Lucas in the picture again! I like where Roman is, in the Pub holding it down for his mama. Raines should have never been a bad guy...I can't believe Days don't see a talented actor/character....even with the villain. They let Vincent go... And Stephan is no more with the show...Steve will never find out that his Sweetness was lying to him. Oh my....
