I don't think anything surprises Chad when it comes to his DiMera family ties. They all seem to have "the phonenix" trait of rising from the ashes. I don't think Chad cares that much either, since he knows Kristen is a criminal loon!

Even though I think that Chad does care about Kristen because she's his sister I also think that he's purposely trying to keep his distance from her because he knows that she's crazy and he has a child to think about and protect.
