I swear the man turned gray over nite. Looks to me like he just stopped coloring his hair. I noticed all the gray when he walked in the room at the hospital to talked to Sami. Anyone else notice that sudden change.

I believe that it is an attempt to make Rafe look compatible with Hope I guess TPTB are ignoring the zero chemistry or how boring he is with Hope.
This soap has the most boring couples.

You got that right! Rafe's hair has NOTHING to do with his lack of chemistry (or being "compatible") with Hope. As for "hair" he & Hope don't look that far apart in age actually - it's just a fact she's a grandmother to a grown granddaughter on the show & he had a romantic relationship with her niece (Sami), but hair color has NOTHING to do with how "boring" they are together! His graying hair won't change that or make it better for sure!

I agree Rafe's hair has nothing with him having no chemistry with Hope. He just doesn't ft with her like he didn't fit with Sami he had even less chemistry with her.

Rafe is a handsome man. Zero chemistry with Hope. I think the show sprayed his hair with something to make it gray (if you look close it also looks weirdly thick on the top) They aged him because so many people say Hope looks too old for him. On the show, she is. Look how old Hope's son Shaun would be. He has a 19-20 year old. SO Hope is getting up there. I wish they would pair Rafe with someone else. If it can't be Sami ANYONE else.

I think, and I know it's an opinion that might not be shared by many, that Hope's hair makes her look older. Her hair is too flat, and too long. The times
when her hair was shoulder length were the times she looked her best imo, since she became older.

Your last 2 sentences hit the nail on the head! PLEASE pair Rafe with ANYONE else & let us have the REAL Hope back! Hope is beautiful regardless of age but used to be so full of life and interesting to watch which they've stripped her of since this forced relationship with Rafe. Since paired with Rafe (handsome, gray or black hair - doesn't matter - he has NO charisma) Hope's been brought down.and lost ALL her appeal & charming traits too!

I think from all I'm reading they're trying to make Rafe look like some great catch with this Sami stuff and Hope (Hope's hands down more beautiful & better than Sami - just look on screen at them - it's glaring & not fitting to have Hope acting jealous of HER), but he's NOT any catch because Sami dumped him for another man and Hope got stuck with him! Just can't recreate some great appeal for him because Sami had a romp with him while he was so in love with Hope. That was just fun for Sami and made Rafe look more like a fool! Now, Hope looks like a fool for taking him back. Another big screwed up sl that doesn't help ANY of them because Rafe is NO prize!

Hope deserves better than this and I just wish someone in tptb would end this dreadful, unpopular couple!

I understand you may not like Rafe or Sami but it's unfair to start comparing Sami to Hope based on appearances. I think Sami and Hope are both beautiful in their own way. Hope can be written with insecurities just like anyone else on the show. She is not exempt from that. She can be written to be jealous of another woman. She was jealous of Bo's other women so she can be jealous of her new husband's ex-wife as well. I like Hope but she is not perfect and has had issues long before Rafe came along. I understand you may not like her present story but I still find her character worth investing in and watching even if I don't agree with everything she does.

Yep! Both of the hair looks a hot mess. She’s needs a hair makeover like yesterday. Today’s episode looked like they gave up all ‘hope’. The style not only ages her but I believe she’s wearing extensions that aren’t blending very well.

Rafe’s hair needs to pick a color, any color. It’s not fully gray nor salt and pepper...whatever it is makes him look washed out. Help!

Totally respect your POV although - you're right - I don't care for Rafe or Sami (never did - not just because of Hope), but I LOVED Hope for decades until they took her OOC to push her next love interests after Bo. On a side note, I wish they'd have kept her more true to herself and their history before moving her on! I'd still be watching & supporting her even with the poor writing!

On to her insecurities - yes, she did have them with Bo & his other women, but I thought that was much more justified than with Sami & it's not only for looks (I overstated what "I" considered the obvious), but her overall character over the years! I just don't find Sami charming or appealing. I did enjoy her as the annoying young girl but never caught on as the leading female romantic lead. That's just MY taste!

As for the present-day Hope, IMO, she's lost about all her once-amazing traits! I'm glad you find her character still "worth investing in & watching", but as you can see from reading boards, she's been brought down immensely with the writing AND with her romantic sidekick!

Honestly, if he let his hair turn purple, it wouldn't make a difference. There is ZERO chemistry between Rafe and Hope. His character is so flat and boring that DAYS would be better off without him. His character (not the actor) brings nothing exciting to the show. It looks like he just stopped coloring it. Although Stefano kept his hair dark until the end and it worked for him.
