  • What are the odds...

With this being a soap I know the odds of this happening are pretty low. Also, if you have followed Ron Carlivati's writing on other soaps you would know that the odds are even lower. But honestly I would love a scene of Tripp sitting down with Ciara and getting her to recognize her true feelings for Ben. You can have him telling her to go be happy with Ben because they both know that is where her heart truly lies. I think this could potentially be a pretty powerful and mature scene between the two of them. Not something you see too much of on soaps nowadays. Also, it would be a good way, at least for me, to sell Tripp as the good guy, which I feel like the writers are trying to do.

I agree that would be different and refreshing, but I don't get the feeling they are trying to show Tripp as the good guy here. I could be wrong, but I get a vibe that Tripp could be the Ben in this triangle. His jealousy and anger are building, and he has shown a tendency toward extreme violence before. It's hard for me to believe he flipped a switch and changed so completely after holding Kayla hostage with a scalpel and not receiving any therapy at all. I wouldn't be surprised if that rage he felt then surfaces again with this volatile living arrangement. JMHO.

I don't see that happening at all Tripp is a good guy and they are showing him as a good guy he know Ben is a serial killer and he doesn't want him living there with them. He does not have a tendency toward extreme violence at all he thought Kayla killed his mother that is all it comes down to. Tripp is a good guy and he doesn't have anger just because he doesn't like a serial killer doesn't mean he has rage and jealousy.

I respectfully disagree. Good guys don't do what Tripp did to Kayla, even if he thought she had killed his mother. Not only did he hold her hostage with a scalpel, but he also coldly and methodically set her up to look incompetent, putting patients' lives at risk in the process. Good guys don't do that. It's true they have been showing him as a good guy ever since he decided he was wrong about Kayla. But for me, the possibility of him reverting to his criminal-type behavior is always there if he is sufficiently provoked, especially since he never had therapy to help him gain insight into what he did. Lately they have started to portray him as jealous and angry every time Ciara defends Ben and especially when she invited him to live with them. The way Tripp was looking at Ben a few days ago gave me the vibe that he might try something sinister. Of course this is jmho.

Has Tripp ever encouraged Ciara to discuss her feelings with regard to the rape? Did Tripp admit to his father that HIS ACTIONS prompted Ciara's accident? No. He happily accepted his daddy's advice while ommitting the basis (his role) for the problems he and Ciara were having. In the hallway, Tripp mentioned "love life", while Ciara corrected him "you mean our sex life". That says it all I think. Even Claire admitted that Tripp is not worried about Ben's criminal dangerousness, but rather, as a rival for Ciara's affections.

That will never happen ever. Tripp would never stoop so low to do that. Tripp loves Ciara and he would never encourage her to be with a serial killer. Tripp and Ciara will end up fine in the end together. I don't see Ciara ending up with Ben in the long run at all. I see them being friends in the long run but not together.

Personally, I think that's the way they should go. And whenever I watch Tripp with Ciara I get those vibes from him. He's quick to anger and say she's wrong. However, I feel like if they did this they would just get a lot of complaints about how they through Tripp under the bus for Cin. So that's why I think it could benefit everyone if they just have Tripp be the one to end it. Then they all come out looking good.

I certainly respect your opinion, but I don’t feel the same way. I like Tripp, but I think he’s a much better fit with Claire. They have more in common and relate to one another better. Tripp isn’t a bad guy, but I don’t feel like he really gets Ciara. Not like Ben does. There’s this huge connection between Ben and Ciara that just grows bigger by the day. In my opinion, Tripp can’t compete. It would be better for everyone if he just bowed out gracefully now.

I don't ever see Tripp really being a good guy because of what he did to Kayla. I can see being more of a Anti Hero like his Dad Steve was back in the day.

I wish I could agree with you because Trip compared to Ben is a living Saint; however, Ron is known for this crap, he is going to make Trip the “bad” guy to sell the story with a serial killer and a young woman. He has already tried to make Hope look bad for not wanting her child with a serial killer. I won’t be surprised if Trip is written to somehow hurt Ciara so she can fall into the arms of
            Salem’s Ted Bundy.

I know. And honestly it's the complete opposite of how Ron C. likes to write storylines. But I'm still holding out a shred of hope.
