It was a very good episode. Would have been even better if Kristen shot Brady and Eric. Chances are Sami wouldn't have shot John or Marlena. She was waving the gun around but she wasn't targeting it at anyone. But that idiot Eric decided to try and be a hero and now he's going to regret it.Comment

It was very dramatic, but kind of dumb. Once Kristen tossed the gun to Sami, anyone could've easily just taken it out of Sami's hand.

I saw a lot of love on twitter. I caught a GIF of Susan's teeth flying out and landing in Marlena's bouquet and I knew I was good to avoid watching.
I used to love this stuff 20 years ago when I was a teenager. But now? I dunno. It just seems so stupid.Comment

I know what you mean. RC is known for continuity nods/homages in his writing (he was great on OLTL, GH's was a little warped/corrupted but I digress). It was stupid; I wasn't watching when the teeth went into Vivian's drink, but I knew it was a homage when Sami clocked Kirsten. -
Mr.Sami_Brady I get that but as I said what I liked at 15 I don't necessarily enjoy now. I don't do well with OTT camp anymore. RC is getting lots of love for his writing on Days. I get that he fits more into Days then he did on GH but I still just can't get into the show. I think part of my problem is there are so many characters/stories I just do not enjoy. Years ago I watched everything. Now I watch almost nothing. Maybe I need an attitude adjustment.

Oh no, I totally understand. When I started watching soaps is was the 2000s, I enjoyed DAYS and Passions (The latter of which I am embarrassed to admit but I adored Sheridan/Luis). Passion was a patronizing, insulting, offensive, and degrading excuse that devalued the soap genre. I don't think you need an attitude adjustment. I know myself, I have to be aware that other people might enjoy some elements that I abhor.

This episode was on fire and I loved it! I may watch it again. As usual, my girls Kristen and Sami brought it! No one keeps my interests like these two do. They are my all time favs and I'm happier than a pig in poop that they're both back lolComment

DAYS has been BACK ever since RC took over last year! God bless him! He fully gets it. He understands soaps, big plots, and the history of DAYS! Wedding week has been FANTASTIC! I loved the Marlena doll popping up, love that Sami, Kristen, Susan, Belle & Shawn are back. Kristen’s teeth flying out just like Susan’s did all those years ago was great! I’ve loved all of the returns he’s brought us throughout the year including Sami’s last return, Will’s return, and Vivian Alamain. Seeing Anna was great too. Now I just need my Kimberly & Shane to return! THANK YOU RC for making me enjoy the last year of DAYS after it was such a struggle to watch for so long. 35 years of watching and this is once again classic DAYS!Comment

I wonder if that was intentional or EM yawned by accident and TPTB decided to leave it in. Because in the next breath he's like "Sami" but then she hits Susan/Kristen sending her teeth flying. OMG. Jennifer's, Belle's, Eve's, Paul's, Valerie's, and John and Steve's reaction was AWESOME. Steve and John even moved apart to let the teeth between them.
And, yes, it was cliché that Will would remember during the wedding, but we knew that was going to happen. I don't really care about Wilson or Horita, but it was really touching between Sonny and Will. And when Will was reciting remembering everyone from Caroline and her speech and then the look on his face when he realized he remembered his mom, Sami, just had me. I know we have had spoilers that Will reconnects with Sami next week, but there's been no mention of him and Lucas reconnecting. I have to say it was a nice juxtaposition of scenes -- the heartfeltness of it -- to balance the campy drama of the actual wedding.
My only question is and I, of course, hope we get this explained: What was Kristen's purpose of kidnapping Sami and holding her hostage for weeks up to the wedding? And if Sami has been being held hostage by Kristen for weeks, where are her kids? I wonder if this ties into Safe and them possibly having a kid. And, yes, I am one of the fans who while not necessarily wanting Rafe and Sami back together would like for Sami to have had Rafe's baby. There is much more story there than a boring Jordan/Rafe kid.
