Two things bothered me about him today: a) Why wasn't he at the wedding? Most of the town was there, and he and Marlena have always had a special bond together. And, b) Why was he acting the way he was? He was acting the way I would have expected if it had been Will and Paul's wedding. His sadness really didn't make sense to me. But Freddie and Chandler did good jobs of their respective scenes. I loved the flashbacks to their wedding. It was nice to see those wedding scenes with Chandler instead of Guy. On a humorous note, I was surprised that Will's shirt was partly unbuttoned for a few seconds. Either the wardrobe people and director missed it or there wasn't time to reshoot those moments.

He probably was invited to the wedding and opted out to not go because of Paul and Will. From his deep sadness he definitely was not ready to face them again. I think he was holding on to a little hope that maybe Will would remember and they would get back together, but after Will made it clear he was staying with Paul, it dawned on him that this how it would be and he had to accept it.

I ff'd the wedding vows, trying to restrict my sugar intake. But I thought the juxtaposition of the nuptials with Will's anguish and Sonny being alone and emotionally adrift, was very well done.
A good show up until Marlena saw her daughter, in obvious distress, stagger down the aisle and fall on her face, and did not run to her as a mother would, but instead she just stood there at the (supposed) altar.

Friday it's worse. "Sami this is old." (Look who's talking, what number wedding is this?)
A mother should be able to recognize physical, medical distress in her own daughter. It was pretty obvious Sami wasn't being a drama queen.
The whole thing turned out ridiculous, everyone just gaping and frozen in place, even after Kristen tossed the gun to Sami, who could easily have been disarmed. Suddenly they're all just spectators.

I feel as much pity for Sonny as he felt for Paul when he dumped him. He was going to marry Paul then dumped him like he was trash.
