This may be unpopular thought & am afraid to say this....but I like the destruction of CHABBY. I guess I am on the opposite side here and rooting for this. Does anyone feel like I do? I know many will not like this, but I am up to a good discussion. My mind also sways to rooting for CHABBY too if the story is good!

How can you like the destruction of Chabby, but then you say you're rooting for Chabby too?? Sorry tiff, but that makes no sense to me.

This is the fourth time the writing has set out to destroy Chabby. Can't a writer come up an original idea?? I think it's a horribly written story. There was no need to take Chabby this far south. They could have had Abigail get pregnant and then there be an issue with her health or the health of the baby and the conflict of Abby wanting to save the baby at all costs and Chad taking the other side of wanting to focus on and save her. That's a conflict and basis for a good story for a couple, not this crap of making a woman mentally ill, then having her raped in that mental illness and now having her think she is tied to her rapist forever through that child, all to destroy the couple. They're writing Chad and Abigail clueless and stupid in this, so they think Chabby fans will just give up and then RC can try to slide in his rapemance. NEWSFLASH FOR RC: It won't work! I'd turn in my Abigail fan card before I'd ever accept her with her rapist.

I love Chabby and I hate how they are trying to ruin them for a rapist and a witch. I hate that Chabby cannot enjoy having another child together but no Gabi the witch has to enjoy making everyone around her suffer just because she is suffering go get a life and get out of everyone else's life. I can't wait for Chad to find out and tell Gabi to go to hell and to stay away from him and his family. I am like Beca if they ever try to put Abby with her rapist I will turn in my Abby card and stop watching days all together. .I will never watch Abby with her rapist. Chad should be there for his son and wife and their daughter she is pregnant with but no Chad took the ******* way out and decided hey I don't need this so I am going to ditch and run away like a little boy from my wife and child. Chad is clueless that he thinks Gabi is actually his friend no Gabi is your enemy and she will always be your enemy. Abby is dumb to ever trust the witch Gabi no Abby Gabi is trying to ruin your life and your families life. You need to keep her away from you your son and you baby you are pregnant with she is not stable she is unstable and is about to go fatal attraction on your family. She doesn't care about your Thomas or your and Chad's baby you are pregnant with she only cares about herself she is selfish. She only cares about herself and using her daughter for her revenge. Ari is better off being with Sonny and Will they are way better parents then Gabi ever will be.

Personally, I want C&A to PERMANENTLY leave Salem! I don't want them to ever come back not even for holidays or funerals, NEVER and I mean NEVER come back nor hear their names not even an honorary mention!

To me, CHABBY had their sweet moment, but there was no movement there and they were plain to me. When Stefan came in the picture, they got interesting! Even Gabi got interesting now too! Now with the baby story and they falling apart, they became more interesting. Their story can make me root if Chad finally knows that the baby is his. Maybe Kate will tell him over Gabi, and Gabi will be less thrilled. I would want Gabi to come to her senses, but her feelings of Chad is growing by every second when she looks at him. And he does not see this coming too, lol! Yeah, poor Chad

I would never say I "like" the destruction of Chabby, but I think it's worth exploring what makes a couple long-lasting and rootable.

My favorite supercouples -- Steve/Kayla, Jack/Jen, and Justin/Adrienne -- had great "origin stories," the story of what brought them together in the first place. They fought against HUGE odds to be together -- doubt in themselves, opposition from friends and family, class conflict, inability to open up emotionally, fear of intimacy. They had the benefit of great writing that made them seem as if they were destined for each other. And on top of that they had chemistry.

I don't know that Chad and Abigail ever had that great origin story that gives a couple its roots and makes it long-lasting. I will say they've had more pull to each other than any other young couple of the last 4 years, and they had a happy accident of chemistry that won over a lot of viewers (I was never a fan of Chabby 2.0 but I get that others were), and combined with their on-again/off-again history, that made the couple the best thing Days had going for awhile. There is great love and fan support for these two, as evidenced in polls on this board and other sites.

But was that enough to make this a lasting couple? I don't think so.

Compare to the Ben/Ciara relationship in its fledgling state. They have all the ingredients of the old supercouples: friend/family opposition, insurmountable odds because of a criminal past, blunt honesty with each other, the desire not to hurt each other combined with a great pull to each other. And they have chemistry. Already they have zealous fans -- and they're not even an official couple yet.

I feel like Chabby was what Days viewers rooted for because it was what we had, and it was in many ways a beautiful story of two people fighting to be together because they felt so much passion, and so much comfort, with each other. But they didn't have the dramatic origin story, the sense of necessity to be together. (Chad and Gabi never had that either, by the way. No matter how many baseball retcons get written.)

I wouldn't be sad to let Chabby go, not because I dislike either character, but because I want to see what else they can do apart.

Practically every writing regime change brings about "changes" in characters' histories. Nothing is ever cannon until written whether viewers agree with it or not. Characters are nothing but puppets on a string, that's it, nothing more or less. They may be written to appease a certain sect of viewers but you can never please everyone all of the time and not more so apparent than now. What I am looking for is for the stories to progress naturally, less propping by regulars (bring in day players to be villains), keep the integrity of characters intact (character driven vs plot driven) and stop with the contradictory characterisation. I don't want characters doing bad things, being told it's good when it looks bad in my eyes. Let good be good, bad be bad and if grey, at lest acknowledge it as such instead of pretending it's something that it isn't, that's hypocrisy and it's very annoying. Lastly show, don't tell me something is a particular way with zero scenes/dialogue to back it up. i don't need years' worth of footage but something substantial.

I'm with you of course I hope it's Abby who leaves town to go live with her Grandmother after she finds out Gabi and Chad slept together and Gabi is having his baby. I don't want Gabi to end up with Chad though. I basically want Gabi to find out she can have children and what better way to seduce Chad. After that she will move on from this dark story she's in. JMO

Chad has put up with A LOT from Abby. Even Thomas was a whose the daddy baby. But pretending to be dead, then leaving him at the altar, then moving Dario into her room. It's too much and its high time girl got some payback for her sketchy behavior. Chad will get to be the daddy in the end, Abby will win over Gabi as always. In the mean time, I love Gabi's revenge.

The holes in Abigail and Chad's relationship are being exposed. Chad doesn't trust Abigail, questions her decision making, and thinks she has feelings for his brother. Meanwhile Abigail is a weak/spineless person who craves male attention no matter who it's from.
