Tamara Tunie is on the new show “Almost Family.” She plays the mother of one of the kids. It was nice to see her.

I loved her characters on both shows. Jessica and Duncan’s romance was one of my favorite storylines ever. They made such a beautiful couple. Ms. Tunie is beyond gorgeous and I thought that the actor, Michael Swan, was one of the best looking men ever seen on screen. The character Duncan’s accent was swoon-worthy. I remember being so sad when Jessica and Duncan’s relationship ended.Comment

She is helping TV daughter & her bio mom pick out a wedding dress!
I also LOVED Jessica & Duncan's love story & LOVED his love story w/Shannon 2!
usually that does NOT happen w/me...that I like more than one love story w/the same soapy guy.....maybe it was just the great actresses he had as his co stars, though!Comment

Shannon O'Hara was the reason Duncan was introduced in the first place!
She was involved in international jewel heights along with her uncle(Earl)...he was later one of Lisa's husbands!
She became engaged 2 Brian McColl...which was one of the reasons DM came 2 Oakdale!
Another reason was that James used DM's family jewels as a way 2 smuggle drugs into the US(4get why DM was smuggling his families jewels out of Scotland...maybe taxes!
Come 2 find out...DM & SO had married on some sort of drunken lark or some such soapy nonsense but never consummated their union & soon went their separate ways!
Shannon/Duncan got back 2gether & fell HARD.......great soapy Scottish wedding w/kilts/bagpipes!
Later, Lilith DM's first wifey comes 2 town & tires 2 kill Shannon several times!
Shannon is thought DEAD.....shrunken head & all...DM falls 4 Jessica & marries her!
Several years later.....Shannon is back....Jessica/Duncan divorce & he & Shannon marry again....doesn't work.
She writes a book & leaves Oakdale on a whirlwind book tour!

Shannon beautiful dark black hair & green eyes(I think could have been blue, though)

Tamara is one of the few who actually did quite a few major films and lots of tv. So happy for her!Comment

I loved Shannon, and her romance with Duncan, and them as a couple.
I hated the storyline when Shannon came back from having been presumed dead. Her character's personality was ruined, and it was a very unfair situation to Jessica. The whole thing really made of mess of three beloved characters, with no good outcome.
And Shannon's friend Harriet, during her original time on the show -- loved her too!
Tamara is wonderful on Law&Order SVU as well. I know her character's name is Melinda, but I still think of her as Jessica -- as if she just changed professions
