    Ray Liotta, 67, RIP

Some of AW old timers will remember Ray Liotta who played Joey Perrini (late 70s). Sadly learned today he has passed away. Others will remember him from many other shows and movies, Goodfellows and Field of Dreams probably his most noted ones. Only 67. Report I read said he died in his sleep while on a new movie project in the Dominican Republic. His wife was there with him. So young, rather shocking.

I was so shocked, and saddened, to see this news. I absolutely adore Joey Perini! I loved Ray, and watched most everythibg he appeared n. Such a great actor.

Oh yes when ever I would see RL in anything my first thought was Joey Perini! He was only on there 3yrs but made quite a impression on me. Of course I was 17 and he was very cute. Always remember Ray and Angie. A so called first supercouple for me. RIP Ray Lotta.

I remember him as Joey too. He had that it factor that just makes someone pop onscreen.

What a great, versatile actor he became. Over 100 films and TV shows including Field of Dreams, Narc, Something Wild, and of course, Goodfellas.

He was great in Something Wild, which was his first movie--according to co-star Margaret Colin (ex-Margo, ATWT). He played a similar character in the TV show "Shades of Blue" with Jennifer Lopez (where Margaret Colin was recast as his wife).

Yep. Always think of him as Joey Perini over every other role -- because that's where I first learned of him -- and he was a fairly long-term character. Hiw mother was Rose, his sister was Angie. His first wife died of cancer, I believe. His second wife Kit Halloway was secretly an heiress which cause problems for the couple after they were married. They broke up at some point, but I'm pretty sure Joey and Kit departed Bay City together.

I've never been a fan of mob filmes, but the Ray appearred in a very poignant episode of E.R. towards the end of that series.

A few years ago, many of the episodes of AW featuring Ray as Joey were on Youtube.
