  • Judi Evans (Paulina Cory) hospitalized

I just read in the news that Judi Evans (Paulina Cory) has been in the hospital, initially due to a serious horseback riding accident and while there contracted Covid. She developed blood clots in her legs and reportedly almost had both legs amputated. There's a thread over on the Days forum area on her. I hadn’t realized that she has been an actor on that soap. As a big fan of Paulina and Jake (Tom Eplin) on AW I immediately recognized her real name though. Heart felt best wishes to her on her recovery from this horrible disease and the injuries from her horse incident.

alurkerforever posted on one of the Days threads about Judi’s condition that there was a segment about her and brief video comment from her on today’s GMA show (ABC, 6/9/20). I found it available for streaming at about 0:20:00 into the show and after the 1st commercial segment. She’s been in the hospital since May 21.

OMG! Judy is going through some hard times went her son dying in December. Now she has to contend with Covid on top of the injuries she suffered from the horseback riding accident. I wish her a full recovery.

Lost her son?!?!?! I had no idea! That's awful news. I actually got to meet Austin when he was a toddler the year that AW went off the air. My goodness, that was 20 years ago but I remember it vividly. He was appearing on the show periodically at the time playing the part of her and Joe's son Dante. I was chatting with her at a meet and greet and we were having a really good conversation about birth parents reuniting with the grown children they had given up for adoption since that was her storyline at the time. I told her the storyline resonated with me because I had recently met my own birth parents.

She was asking me my opinion of the story when Austin's babysitter walked up with him to ask her something. She took Austin in her arms and introduced me to him and said I'd like you to meet the talented actor who plays Dante. She winked and beamed with pride like any proud mama. She allowed me to get a photo with both of them. A few seconds later, she handed him back to the babysitter and took a second picture with just her and I since he was getting fussy. It breaks my heart to hear that he has passed.

i'm such a big fan of hers.
-what a natural she is, per scene, quite realistic, throughout per soap.
-since GL, i just adore her, my older siblings put me on to her, and PHILIP: i loved her, since day one,

even if i am about IRL 17 yrs younger than her, she look great still imo

and i pray for her all of the time, because she is 1 lady who went through so much in life.

                God bless her.
                God bless us all.

                adios.
