  • Post AMC, did you choose another soap?

I went with the Young & Restless because some AMC actors were on it. They never clicked, though, and didn't last long.

I still watch Y&R, but it's just not as fun and interesting.

I just continued watching B&B, which I'd already been watching for years, but I still miss AMC.

Haven’t picked up a new soap. I looked around a bit but AMC and OL were my two mainsoaps. I dabbled in Y&R but it doesn’t have the whimsy AMC sometimes had. I find myself watching almost no TV. There are some streaming services I watch (prime and Netflix) but even those I don’t watch a lot.

There was something very unique about AMC. I miss it so much.

Yes, right before AMC went off the air, I started watching Y&R for the same reason another poster mentioned...AMC actors. I enjoy it but nothing like the way I loved AMC. I also tried to get into BB but just couldn't. I also watch GH because it's the only soap still on that I watched off and on over the years. For me nothing compares to AMC. I also watched OLTL and miss it too.

When Thorston Kaye joined B&B I tried watching, but couldn't get into it.

I started watching Days in 2014 when Kassie DePaiva from OLTL joined and I'm still watching.

When Michael E Knight joined Y&R I started watching that show and I'm still watching.

                I've always watched GH.

I like Days the best right now.

After All My Children went off the air I was devastated, I watched all 3 ABC soaps practically since birth! (1982) The talk shows that tried to replace AMC & OLTL haven't even lasted long like the longevity of these beloved soaps. I've started to watch DAYS for the past 6 months & never given up on GH even when some storylines have been a dud.

At the time I watched less than perfectly, some of the plotlines were not connecting and I had occasionally looked at Days of Our Lives. (This was before Days had shifted to the noontime hour here) That became my new spot and at times I would look at half of Young and the Restless.

I am not quite as faithfully to either Days or Y&R and miss episodes regularly....which is one reason I like forums like this one so I can find out what happened.

I tried Days and when they started killing everyone off in a ridiculous sl about 3 yrs ago I lost interest.

Just haven't been able to get in to any shows. Miss AMC and OLTL everyday and don't think an afternoon will go by without missing our shows.

Turned Coronation Street on one Saturday about 5 yrs ago and ended up binging a yr. over 2 months. They have a great mix of light heartedness mixed in with the sudsy drama. They seem so real living in normal homes doing dishes with a radio. I've become very attached to the cobbled street.

Corrie left Hulu about 1 1/2 yrs ago when Britbox channel started so I followed it there. They air same day but I binge the week on Saturdays.

I watched Y&R for a while and B&B once TK started there in Dec 13. Got bored with Y&R and B&B doesn’t dazzle me but I’ll watch T K in whatever he plays.

No, it was time to move on from soaps. Truthfully, the last years of the show were pretty bad. I stuck with the show via DVR but toward the end I watched less and less.

I tried watching Bold/Beautiful because Jacob Young was picked up immediately. Turned out to be the worst soap I've ever watched. I catch it on rare occasions and it hasn't improved.

I watch Y&R but have little interest in it right now. Don't watch daily episodes anymore.

Tuned into DOOL because of Vincent Irrizarry (one of my fave AMC actors) but the character was killed . . . so.

No. I just couldn't. And the truth is, my overall viewing patterns have changed -- it's cable news (BBC, CNN) or streaming services (amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu). Some HBO/Showtime shows. Some AMC (the network). I think AMC was my last network show.
