Finding out Judith had a hand in her husband's demise wouldn't surprise me in the least.
When Ann testified that Harris's father had committed suicide, my first thought was, "I'm not surprised - if I were married to someone like Judith, I'd probably want to kill myself, too". But then I thought, "She's crazy enough to have killed him and made it look like a suicide". He was probably getting in the way of her relationship with their son, and she couldn't have that. So she offed him. The symmetry of this possible scenario struck me - Harris's mother killed his father, and Emma's mother tried to kill her father.
To take it a step further, JR uncovers this in his investigation of Harris for Bobby. When Harris finds out his mother killed his father, he turns on her and tries to help Ann in her appeal (I'm assuming the Ewings will appeal her case). Judith gets locked up and Ann is released/has her prison time reduced. Emma starts to bond with her mother.
This gives Judith a very big motive to kill JR.
I found it very interesting that Emma seemed afraid of her grandmother, who was quick to tell her it was not her place to question why her father told the police it was Bobby who had shot him.
I'm very curious to know everyone's thoughts on this.![]()

It wouldn't surprise me, either. In fact, I think it's likely. I think that old bat is crazier than we realize.
Wouldn't it be fitting if JR were to meet his demise as a result of something good he has done - trying to help his brother and Ann by uncovering Judith's secret?
When I think of the possiblities of J.R.&Judith I almost want to cry.
As for his demise I've heard how he's (apparently) goingbut I know you're spoiler free so I'll keep mum.
Thank you - I appreciate that. I can't believe we have only one more episode with JR. So sad.![]()
Holly99, that's what I hope, too!
I was a huge fan of the original Dallas series & I was very leery about watching the reboot .. but .. to my great delight .. the reboot has been fantastic .. and .. while Larry Hagman's death ... as thus the upcoming death of JR .. will put a significant damper on things .. I think the SORASed Ewings and Barnes characters (which the reboot is grounded in) are strong enough to bring the show forward and survive for several years to come.

It certainly wouldn't surprise me. I am SO incredibly amused by the crazy that Judith is bringing to this show.

"You live once, but if you do it right, once is enough"
just a thought
maybe spoiler
harris doesnt look that much younger than his mother, and momma brown has some real issues going on with harris, almost like love too much, what if harris dad dead for what ever reason remarried and she only a step mom to him.sometimes men marry younger, maybe he realized she had the hots for the son and she killed him.
I would not put anything past Judith...or if she didn't do it... Harris did it...and she covered up for him... I also agree there is an extremely strange relationship between Judith & Harris...she treats him more like a lover then a son
...something is definately going on there that makes it very curious to see where it is going

-----I second (or I should say third) this!) July and Holly. I really think NuDallas has the potential to really catch a rythm and run with it. Years ago primetime series were give so much more time to become really grounded, and to gain viewership. But today, after a few episodes, a promising series can get canceled because it is not high in the ratings. (I won't get into my opinion of the rating systems right now-lol) .... The first season of Dynasty did very badly, and it was not until Joan Collins joined the cast, stirring up so much trouble, that that series really took off and became a major hit...... Well, just hoping Dallas will do well after the sad reason we won't have JR on their anymore...I look forward to Lee Majors joining the cast......
PS to my above post (edit did not work right now, so sorry for two seperate posts) I just had to say that I did not mean for it to run together that JR will be off of Dallas and Lee Majors is joining... By no means can ANY actor ever fill JR's shoes on his, I mean this show!!!!! .... I hope the character of JR is ALWAYS there in SL's for the rest of the series.... and I'n hoping that Lee Majors character will be good, and also bring some viewership to NuDallas. (should have clarified that better in above post.)
I would'nt be surprised if this is discovered during this season.
Interesting speculation! Definitely worth considering as Judith looks evil!!
She is a Snake in the grass so notihing would surprise me.
Love the speculations here! Judith Light is so amazing on Dallas. She scares when she is on screen.
