hey i just want to hear chris you tried to shoot me...................remember when they were playing and chris had the gun and it went off and clayton ran outside.....
Sue Ellen&Christopher interacting/connecting more. She's his aunt(two fold)and we've not seen them together much in the new series.
I'd LOVE to see the entire Ewing clan sit down for a meal together in the Ewing dining room. That's a staple from original Dallas that shouldn't be forgotten/ignored imo.
John Ross marrying Pamela Rebecca. Normally I detest family members sharing a partner but the more I see Pammie&Junior together the more I like them. On a purely selfish note it would serve that man posing as Cliff Barnes right having his daughter marry(lovingly&sincerely)into a family he hates so much
(I'm going to run for the exit after I type this one)Harris trying to romance Sue Ellen. I don't know why but last night it popped in my head&the more I mulled it over the more I liked the idea
Feel free to add you thoughts, opinions,&ideas folks. I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Yes I remember that.
Ahhhhh, Dr. I. these are all sooooo good. I soooo want the Ewing family dinners brought back. That's where all the good stuff happened! At the dinner table and in the den before when everyone was having drinks! I really want the annual Ewing BBQ brought back as well or the Oil Baron's Ball. One or the other but I think I'll go with the BBQ at the Ranch. So fun. Those events always had all the characters intertwine and it was so juicy and fun. As far as couplings, I have to say I'm not happy with any of them right now.![]()
Oh Brenda I don't know where my mind was when I posted earlier today but ICAM with about the BBQs&the Ewing cocktail hour lol. Some of the most interesting things happened during those events. As for the Oil Baron's Ball I'd hoped we were getting another especially since Cynthia said Patrick reminded her the Ewings always went to the OBB¬ the Cattle Barron's Ball. From what I've read we'll get another Cattle Barron's instead of the Oil Barron'sOne of the biggest draws for me of the OBB is how everyone got glamed up&dressed to the nines. The Cattle Barron's shindig is a bit too casual&laid back for my taste.
Since you're not enjoying any of the current couples(and I'm sorry to hear that btw)who would you like to see together?
Thanks for chimming in TeamBrenda.![]()
Well, I'll say it again and everyone can roll their eyes because I won't get mad but I really want Pam back and I want her back with Bobby. Sorry guys, but they were Romeo and Juliet and the one thing I hated was the way we never found out what really happened to Pam. I like Annie but not with Bobby. But I won't get on that Soapbox any longer...
OK, Sue Ellen needs a man, maybe we'll all like it when Lee Majors comes along...Elena is a drip but for some reason I do like her with John Ross. Pamela and John Ross are too similar to be together but I don't want her with Christopher either! Maybe Elena's brother and Pamela?
I'm with you too on the OBB verus the Cattle Barron's. Everyone got dressed up for the OBB and it was a big fancy event! I'd love to see that again!
I agree about the cocktail hour and dinners at the ranch. I'm copying and pasting something I wrote on the SF set thread because I feel it's relevant here, too:
Besides the set being different, the use of SF and its importance (or lack thereof) feels different to me. I don't know if anyone else feels this way. In the original series, SF was the center of things; it was just as important as the Ewing Oil offices, maybe more so. We saw great family interaction at home and many of the best arguments took place in the dining room over dinner or the living room/den over cocktails. Whether it was Bobby confronting JR, Sue Ellen and JR going at it (sometimes in their bedroom), Ellie and Jock disagreeing, or Pam and JR exchanging barbs, SF was home, including to us viewers. Now, the ranch doesn't feel as important any more, at least not to me. Everyone is scattered and we don't see family dinners or cocktail hours. I wish they would go back to the original format a little more. The physical set isn't as important as what takes place there, IMHO.
I'm not rolling my eyes, Team Brenda - that's for sure. I agree with you 1000% about Pam. I want her back, too, and I also want her with Bobby. As you said, they were Romeo and Juliet, and I would love to see the effect of her return on everyone - especially Bobby. I believe he never stopped loving her and they belong together! Ann and Bobby have a nice, comfortable relationship, but Pam is his true love, IMO. Also, I feel Christopher could use his mother's support and guidance right now, with the breakup of his marriage, his quick rebound with Elena, and his impending fatherhood. Pam's return would certainly shake things up, and I would love her to shake some sense into her brother and her niece!
I would've responded sooner but,per your request,I was rolling my eyes at you so hard that I had to rest a minute![]()
I hear you about Pam but thanks to VP apparent disdain(my take on it)I've no desire to see Pamela back in Dallas again. I'll admit when the stuff was hitting the fan after Pamela Rebecca's reveleation to Christopher I was almost ready to offer a reward for the safe return of Pamela Ewing to Dallas. Now I've gotten over it&I'm iffy on Pam(whoever were to play the character). If she comes back she does. If she doesn't she just doesn't. Speaking of original Pam we'll learn what became of her in an upcoming episode. I can't remember which thread but it was posted her a short while ago.
Now I'm quickly ducking so you don't pelt me with rocks&garbage about my thoughts on Pam Ewing lol.![]()
LOL!!! I will NEVER throw rocks and garbage at you!!!! I will say this, VP has annoyed me too with her constant "I WANT NO PART OF DALLAS" theme song. It's as recognizable as the DALLAS theme song itself!!! But a part of Dallas isn't the same without her. And I think now that Christopher is an adult, his mother around would be interesting and let's not forget her brother. She was so good with Cliff and trying to balance being a Barnes and a Ewing
Yes, I remember someone posted JR's will would reveal something about Pam. Maybe it will finally close the door on Pam altogether OR maybe JR will say he knows something but not reveal it sending Christopher on some wild goose chase? I hope it;s a good reveal!
LOL - yes, that's what they say! Thanks for endorsing my post! And yes to being your partner in crime! I will never stop hoping that Pam returns to Dallas. She was such an integral part of the original show, and she would be again, I believe, if she came back. There are so many characters for her to interact with, including, as I said above, Bobby, Ann, Chris, Cliff, Pamela Rebecca, and also Sue Ellen and John Ross. It's too bad JR will not be around if and when she comes back - that's a reunion I'd pay big bucks to see - lol!!!
LOL!! Theme songI wish I'd said that. I'm hoping Whatever the reveal is it'll be nice&juicy.
P.S. If I stop digging my heels in(all thanks in part to Vickie's 'theme song' I might add)I have to admit there's a tiny teeny part of me that tends to agree with you about Pam's abscense leaving a hole in the fabric of Dallas.......but if/when Pam ever comes back she'd better steer clear of Robert James,he's taken lol.
"Oh My God, that make me laugh so hard, I just spit out a thin mint.... "
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^(In my best Steve Urkel voice)Did I do that?
