Does Christopher come off as to whiney to anyone else?

I know that John Ross is no where near an angel I mean come on he is a terrible person but it just seems like Christopher comes off like he is owed something. Something that I never really felt with Bobby back in the 80's. Chris just seems like he tries to hard and when it does not work out he goes to his father. Where as John Ross looks like he can handle his own sure he has help from Sue Ellen and JR but it seems more of the benefit of the family when they help each other.

I don't know this is just my opinion...

I don't know if I'd call him whiney, however, I do basically understand what you are saying.
I don't know if it's that the writers are making Christopher a hot head like Bobby was, ready to punch someone out before listening to them... He, in some ways - good ways, reminds me of Bobby. But, Bobby did take care of himself more often than not. He figured out how to beat JR without too much help from anyone else and Christopher is going to have to learn that if he's to be like his daddy.

I don't think Christopher is whiny. He was owed the truth, IMO, by his wife, and I think it's perfectly understandable that he's furious with her. He has a lot of Bobby's traits - he's honest, moral, loyal, smart, ambitious and hardworking. The writers showed him not wanting to go to his father for financial help with his project last season. The only thing I don't like is the way he immediately fell into bed and fell back in love with Elena after he broke up with Pamela Rebecca, whom he supposedly loved very much. I think he should have given himself a chance to heal from the hurt and deception. Maybe he comes off as self-righteous sometimes, but then JR always used to refer to Bobby as "my sanctimonious little brother". I think Chris is very much like his dad.

Exactly what I mean Victor Lord Jr. when he started to talk about being adopted I was like yeah so your adopted? Is your last name Ewing? Yes so forget the fact that you were adopted I mean sure John Ross likes to remind him of this but he said one line about being adopted last season to Bobby that just really turned me off to the character. Maybe whinny is not the right word but I don't know maybe its because I have always been a JR and Sue Ellen fan however I did love Pam so who knows...

I still think that John Ross is the whiner. I don't see Christopher as a whiner at all. Sure Christopher mentioned being adopted in the original like what 6 times in 18 episodes across 2 seasons.

Actually I'm quite calm I think that John Ross brings up Christopher being adopted more than Christopher ever does. I'm not sure if Christopher even knows about who his mom really is. I hope Sue Ellen and Christopher get close like they were in the original. I could never really understand Pam after the first couple of seasons. I especially never understood why she left Bobby the first time for Mark Graison, or as someone on another board refers to him as "Pornstache".
