I thought it'd be fun to start the guessing game, since we really only have 3 or 4 episodes left until Hagman is off of Dallas.

From what I've read JR will get shot and killed and it'll be a Who Done It? storyline, now I could be wrong since I am spoiler free (to the best of my ability).

So, without any clues as of yet, who do you think it going to be the one to off ole JR?

they said he was in 6 and we already seen 3 so maybe 3.as for who kills him umm.....emma ,judith,christopher,depends on the storyline leading up to it.if they go with the pam [jr knew where she was thing maybe chris kills him]

There are so many possibilities. I could see Judith or possibly Emma doing it since JR will be going after Harris. I wouldn't put it past Pamela Rebecca and she does know how to use a gun. There would be a certain irony in having Cliff do it and get away with it, at least in the beginning, because he was arrested for shooting JR in the original series but didn't do it. It would be funny if one of JR's former mistresses came back and finished him off. Afton could be a possibility - to protect her daughter. It would be easier to speculate who won't do it!

One thing though - I can see a non-Ewing as the murderer so that the Ewings pull together and close ranks, at least temporarily, in the middle of all the fighting and rivalry. That would be a welcome change and relief, IMO. Once the killer is caught and justice is served, they can go back to hating each other - lol.

OHH, Afton! Never thought of her. Audrey would be a great addition if she could come back! That would work so well.

My guess right now would be someone from the "Barnes crew".
Since Ann shot Harris, then maybe JR won't go after him?

But I am sure there will be plenty of suspects....... Could be one from his past too. He's had a lot of years to piss people off. LOL.

Afton is a good guess IMO.
I do wonder if Afton and Cliff get along, or if Afton is angry with Cliff for "taking" Pamela from her and turning her into a vindictive powerhungry Ewing-hater. Or, is Afton ok with that?
Either way, I am sure her mama instincts will have her claws come out for killer mode if someone harms her girl.

There would be some irony in Afton doing it because she's the one who found JR after he was shot in the original series. She got him to the hospital right away and in doing so probably saved his life!

She had gone to his office to ask him to leave Cliff alone. If she's the one this time, I guess she's tired of asking - she shoots him to make sure he leaves her daughter alone.

I hope it is not Cliff Barnes. I don't want to see him doing a happy dance to finally taking down the great JR Ewing. Can you imagine the smug look of satisfaction on Cliff's face? Even knowing that Cliff would rot in jail for doing the nasty deed would not be enough to erase from my soap mind the smug look of satisfaction seeing the Ewings grieving.

and also...wasnt Afton the one who found Bobby after he was shot in JR's office in the season cliffhanger 'end game'

you know Afton is a good one to suspect! for some reason i dont think it will be Pamela Rebecca who does it

I don't remember who found Bobby after he was shot - could have been Afton.

If Afton is the one who shoots JR this time, I'd love her to say something like, "I should have left you there to bleed to death the first time". That would be a great nod to history!!!

Afton found Bobby shot. She entered Ewing with one elevator, as the shooter headed down the other. 100% sure, cause I just watched that scene.

Afton's first reactions "Cliff, what have you done?"

So, Ewing 1, are you implying that maybe Cliff has JR killed? If so, that's an interesting take. Before, I would have said no way. But given the way Cliff seems to be now, I wouldn't put it past him.
