Thanks for posting im getting tears in my eyes already,
Every morning as he passes Hagman's trailer Patrick Duffy knocks on Larry's door. Patrick says he certainly doesn't expect his dear friend to say "Come in" but it's his way of saying to Larry "I'm still here, pal."
Josh Henderson(John Ross) believes his former onscreen father(who he affectionately refered to as 'Pops')was behind a glitch that occurred as he was filming a scene, after Larry's death, between John Ross&J.R. Evidently there was a strange sound coming through the phone that lingered. Henderson says " "Even when he's not in a scene, Larry's making sure he's the center of attention,"
Larry Hagman's long time costar&friend Linda Gray says she believes Larry's making a connection to her through her car radio. On two seperate occasions Frank Sinatra's song "Always" has come on. Larry sang this song with his daughter just before he died. "It's like Larry's talking to me. I know he's going to keep coming to all of us doing weird things." Gray said.
More recently Patrick&Linda say they both felt Larry with them as they shot a TV Guide cover photo. "Linda and I kept joking that Larry was watching us — and he was pissed!" Patrick said. "We said, 'He thinks he should be here in this photo.' And then we looked at each other and said, 'He is here.'"
In other Dallas news(&I'm not certain if this was included in Guiding's thread or not;if so I beg pardon)the second part of season two will be a "Who Killed J.R.?" story arc. Cynthia Cidre believes(hopes)this will rival the "Who Shot J.R." phenomenon. "We all felt having J.R. die of natural causes would have been completely inappropriate, not only to the character, but also to Larry Hagman," says Cidre, who received an OK for the plotline from Duffy as well as Hagman's son, Preston.
Larry's final scenes provided unintentional closure with Sue Ellen&brother Bobby. In the season two opener J.R. goes to Sue Ellen's home&shares feelings with her(for her?)that he's never shared before. A few episodes later brother Bobby enlists J.R.'s help when Annie gets into a boat load of trouble. "For the first time I can remember, Bobby has to go to the guy who knows how to get down and dirty," Duffy says. "He walks into J.R.'s bedroom and says, 'I need your help.' It's one of my all-time favorite moments."
Also,as I&other posters have mentioned,Judith Light is on as Harris Ryland's mama. Harris allows his mother to move into his home which makes us all privy to their strange relationship. Mitch Pileggi had this to say on their mother/son dynamic "(It's) about as weird and creepy as you can get," with one scene finding Judith tending to her hospital-bed-bound son with a bit too much affection."
Judith Light adds " "This woman is extremely controlling of her son's life, deeply pained and stops at nothing to get her own way." The Ryland family dysfunction will cause one Ewing family member on trial for attempted murder.
Judith Light will be on for only eight episodes(she has Broadway commitments)but tptb at Dallas hope to have her back later in the season.
**Thanks to Tv Guide

Thanks for posting im getting tears in my eyes already,
^^^^^^^^^^^^You're very welcome. I too have gotten teary more than a few times since Larry passed.
Yes thanks for posting this. I look forward to this season next week but will be sad to see Larry Hagman as JR one last t ime.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^You're certainly welcome.
Dr.Kipling, thank you so much for sharing a wealth of information about upcoming spoilers for season two. As I read about Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy and what they had to share about Larry, part of me is still in a state of disbelief Larry Hagman is no longer with us.
Had the TV Guide photo shoot taken place when Larry was still with us, I can only imagine how much fun it would have been with Larry, Linda, and Patrick.
Season two will be very difficult to watch knowing it will be time to say goodbye to J.R. Ewing and Larry Hagman. I have several boxes of Kleenex tissue with me. As I mentioned in previous posts, both J.R. and Larry were larger than life, can and will never be replaced, and will be dearly missed by everyone.![]()

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^You are so welcome Viki&Charlie. I know how you feel, there's still a part of me that can't believe(doesn't want to is more like it)that Larry's gone. It seems somehow odd knowing Larry Hagman's no longer in this world. I can't explain it but it feels wrong if that makes any sense.
Had Larry been at that photo show I'm sure it would have been a long hilarious day for all in involved. Larry,Linda,&Patrick were a terrific/funny trio. I'll forever miss Larry Hagman and will always be grateful for all the years of entertainment&joy he gave me and the rest of the world. A talent like his doesn't come along every day. Good seeing you again Viki&Charlie
^^^^Dr.Kipling, I am willing to bet an eight course meal at a fancy Dallas restaurant, being in the same room with Linda, Larry, and Patrick for a photo shoot will be guaranteed to have laughter, warmth, camaraderie, and filled with inside jokes and stories from memory lane for Dallas. Pardon the pun, I can also picture Larry doing everything he can to make Linda and Patrick laugh. Larry's mischievous smile along with J.R. Ewing's signature "Hello, Darlin" is something I will really miss. I second your post about being thankful for all the wonderful years Larry has provided the audience and will be missed. Although he is no longer with us, Larry Hagman will never be forgotten.
Nice posting with you Dr.Kipling!![]()
dr ivan this is hard to belive that this will be the last we see of jr ewing,i will certinly miss his dirty deeds and that devilish smile, and i wanted to see him and suellen back together again.i have to look up the movies his mom played in and watch one,my mom said that my grandmother loved her as much as she enjoyed watching larry, she used to say he acts as good as his mother does,
Thanks drivan, appreciate this.
Judith Light? Will be nice to see Karen Wolek, no?![]()
Now Viki&Charlie wouldn't it be easier for me just to make the reseverations&agree to pick up the tab now lol![]()
I'd bet my last good American dollar that you're spot target my dear friend. It's always so nice&such a privelage to post with you too
VicJr I know Larry's gone but there's a huge part of my mind&heart that still can't make peace with the fact he's gone for good. I too hoped(expected really)to see Sue Ellen&J.R. together again. Years ago, while watching original Dallas,I always imagined Sue Ellen&J.R. would pick up the torch&carry on where Jock&Miss Ellie left off. Sadly time always has it's own(other)plans.
Sadly the only thing I ever had the pleasure of seeing Mary Martin in was Peter Pan. She was a joy&delight in that. I did however see her on many talk shows. She was always so bubbly&pleasant. I'll have to look up some of her other works.
oh dallas is coming up quick, its going to be so sad with lh gone.reading these threads are so touching to all who loved him.
You're so welcome Tulip!![]()
