Character Discussion - Donna Culver Krebbs

I always liked Donna and thought she was a formidable opponent for JR. I think he respected her, which says a lot. What did you think of Donna?

Next to Miss Ellie, Donna was my favorite female character from Dallas.

I loved how when Bobby was shot she took over for him at Ewing Oil.

Smart, classy, yet down to Earth. Took Ray for who he was, yet Ray was an idiot with how he treated him.

Loved Susan Howard, one powerhouse actress for sure.

I thought Donna was great as well and I agree July baby there was sometimes that show of respect from JR
but then again it was JR but Donna was smart and very ambitious and I agree as well with Midwest that she took ray for who he was and yeh ray was an idiot!

The whole storyline web Donna and Ray were going to have that child with Down syndrome was so emotional and I have to say it was very well acted by them both

Yes, she married a politician and moved to Washington, DC. She took the baby (Margaret) with her.

I can honestly say that I never found one single thing to like about this character!!!!! I can't put my finger on the reason but she annoyed me from day one. I always felt bad for Ray when he was tied to her. It seemed a waste of story and time. Ray would have been better served morphing into a character more like his daddy, Jock. Hardnosed, tough as nails with a woman he loved but unable to stay faithful. THAT would have made Ray a more fun character to watch.

I loved Donna, from day one...especially when she found the woman Ray had slept with (Bonnie?) and decked her in a bar.....that was my FAVORITE Donna moment.....she was always strong and independent, not afraid to take on anyone......I loved her friendship with Ellie.....and was sorry to see her character depart.....I always thought that after Ray, she'd make an excellent wife for Bobby.....if he was not with Pam.....I wish she'd stayed with the show until the end.....

I loved her friendship with Miss Ellie, too, and the way Ellie would confide in her. I was also sorry to see her character depart. I would have loved to see her become a rival of JR in the oil business. Remember that one tiny oil well she bought, just for the fun of it? It did very well, just like everything else she tried. I wanted TPTB to run with that and have Donna decide to go into the oil business. Imagine her in the boardroom, using her wits and determination to outsmart JR. JR respected her intelligence. It would have been a great rivalry, IMO, and Donna would have given JR a run for his money!!!

her and jr had a special kind of love.i liked her and miss ellies relationship too.i remember when she wrote the book on sam and she went to ellie for her ok to print it.because it had one of jocks dirty deeds in it.i didnt like her going to washington because it was the end of her and ray,i wish they could have kept them together, without all the problems.i dont think they knew what to do with ray.he later got better after he got with jenna

Okay, okay. With all the love for Donna going on, maybe I need to start re-watching some of the seasons with Donna and see if I missed something the first time around.

LOL! I think it's really cool that you're willing to re-watch to see if you missed something. I'm curious to know your opinion afterward. Please let us know if you change your mind about Donna, or even if you don't!

Donna was my favorite Ewing DIL on Dallas. I found Donna very endearing.
